If you think racism is being "dragged" into things, it's not. It was always there. It's just that these days people are feeling empowered to talk about it. Just because you never noticed it doesn't mean it's new.

I think the Repubs are scared of Bernie Sanders. I haven't heard one peep from them about Bernie. They are all over Hillary though.

So our idiot governor did yet another stupid thing...he decided to give state funding to the new Bucks arena so Milwaukee can keep the Bucks. This money was probably all the money he cut from the UW system funding. Great job, Scott Walker. We get to keep a basketball team that stinks and lose out on major grants for research and lose a big chunk of the academia economy. I want him to go away so badly.

So a mom goes to the mall food court for a job interview. She brings her 6 and 2 year old because she couldn't find last minute childcare. She sits them down at a table about 30feet away from her while conducting the interview. She gets her kids a bit later and she's immediately arrested. What.the.fuck?! the police officer in question is a huge idiot. Had he actually been paying attention and doing his job he would have noticed her there. I mean I thought being observant was part of training? The judge released her and her kids back into her custody. But those poor kids and that poor mom.

It is never justified for a police officer to beat someone while they are handcuffed. Never.

I'm a nice person. I'm nice to every single person I meet and I treat everyone the same way--I was brought up in a house where we genuinely embraced other cultures and people of all races and ethnicities. That being said--I'm sick to death of having to worry about whether or not every little stinking thing I do or say is "racist". So I want to wear cornrows--nope, can't do that, that's racist. If I wanted to wear a bindi and get a henna tattoo, would that be racist too? What if I just like the way those styles look? Why does racism have to be dragged into everything these days?

I respect the Office of the President, and have never posted my political leanings here or anywhere else. But I am quite disappointed that President Obama didn't have more to say about the five people who lost their lives in TN.

Funny that the 9 people murdered in South Carolina were blamed for their own death because no one was carrying a gun (in a church), but the 4 Marines killed on a base, were not blamed for their own deaths. But let's blame it on the Muslim! Those terrorists!
