We know what they want. They want the world to burn. Let's just remember 99% of IS's victims are also Muslims.

There are about 150 less humans since the attack on Paris. When are we going to start understanding what Muslim extremists want and start giving it to them so they'll stop? All they want is a worldwide caliphate and sharia law. Atlantic magazine online had a good article on it in March, '15. Wall St. Journal had a similar one in Oct., '15, written by Jonathan Sacks. The trouble is that no one wants to read anything that long. Until we understand what they want, we can't stop the carnage. We can either give it to them or fight back. Simple.

Yes, what happened in Paris was awful, but there's a lot of crazy shit happening right here in the US of A, too, that no one cares about. #blacklivesmatter

I think plastic and production of it impacts the world worse than cattle farming.

Nobody suggested you eat berries and go naked. cutting out meat and if you are willing, dairy and eggs, is about the biggest thing you can do for the planet. A pound of beef takes 5214 gallons of water to produce, chicken 512 gallons, a pound of wheat takes 25. Cattle consume 16 times as much grain as they product in meat. 2.5 acres of land can support 1 person on beef or 15 on wheat or 19 on rice, 22 on potatoes. The world could support 10 billion on a vegetarian diet (even more on a vegan one), currently the population will not be sustainable long term. This is not just crazies like PETA reporting this information, even the UN is saying these things. But we're too fucking selfish. As long as we have our triple bypass hamburgers on our plate, fuck the climate refugees in Bangladesh. They are just poor brown people anyway, we're not willing to "sacrifice" any part of our cushy western life.

Exactly... people living on earth no matter what is going to affect it somehow, hurt it somehow. I mean what are we to do? Some people make efforts and help, others just don't care and trash the place up, and take and use. At least some do what we can. I am not bringing more humans into it at least, and from what I see that's a biggie. But really, we are here, what do you want? We could all off ourselves! C'mon. Like the other poster, I'm not going to suggest we all eat berries and go naked. I'd love to do what I can for the planet, but I'm not going to sacrifice myself and my life for it, either.

I live near Paris. I have walked the streets, talked to the people, prayed in the churches and have loved the city. I am saddened and angry with what happened. I am disgusted by the acts of violence that have taken place. I am so angry this happened and confused by it all.

JFC my boyfriend was in Paris two weeks ago. I am so beyond grateful that he is home now. I don't ever pray, but I offered up a prayer of thanks that everyone I know is safe right now.

I could wear plastic belts and shoes instead of leather. But oh, there goes the landfill. I could use plastic furniture instead of wood, but oh, there goes the landfill. I could use fake down and nylon sleeping bags, but don't they take forever to biodegrade? Let's go back to living in caves, running around naked, and scrabbling for fruits and berries. The earth would be so much better off. We wouldn't have to do if for long cuz we'd probably have a life expectancy of about 27.
