Yes, I know that people kill people, not guns. But let's agree that those people who do want to kill people should NOT have guns. Right now, it's way too easy for anyone to get one. I am not anti-gun per se, but we do need to crack down on who's allowed to buy them and where and how they're sold.

The only reason a developing fetus has more rights than a woman in so many places is because there is a chance it will be male. Lets face it. Not many Indians seem to be in an uproar about the termination of fetuses based on the fact that they are female. Guaranteed if it was sex selective abortion in favour of female babies that shit would be outlawed in about five seconds flat.

Just watched the doc "Vessel" about the Women on Waves movement, which provides pill abortions to women in international waters thus circumventing local laws. Totally awesome, I advise everyone watch on Netflix if your country has it listed. One thing I noticed was that most of the protesters threatening violence against the abortion providers were angry, chanting men. Surprise sur-fucking-prise. If men could get pregnant abortions would be a sacrament.

People defend the right to bear arms moreso than to defend or think of the victims killed by said shooter. Of course guns don't kill people, it's impossible for that to happen, but guns are meant to be used to kill. Trying to regulate who gets legal access to guns when bad people can't even be trusted with nail clippers, I don't see why that is such a debate. Why can't we agree that there are people out there that should not have guns?

Guns don't kill people, people kill people. HIV/AIDS don't kill people, unprotected sex kills people. Diabetes doesn't kill people, derange pancreas kills people. And so on and so forth...stupid people.

Has anyone been reading about the ACLU's suit against Catholic hospitals for putting women in danger rather than giving them reproductive healthcare. Like, I get that they don't want to do abortions - OK, that's fair - but one of the women had a nonviable fetus that she took two weeks to miscarry in horrible pain, and another woman was refused a tubal ligation during a c-section because future pregnancies would be dangerous to her. I don't get why the pushback - in one case the "baby" was already dead and in the other they were delivering a healthy baby and just making sure the mother didn't put herself at risk in the future. Where does it even talk about that in the Bible?

The minute you utter the gem "I have Irish ancestry myself" in a debate about Irish politics, it just gives me cause to ignore everything you have to say. Not only does nobody care, but if an Irish person said "I know about Irish politics because I'm Irish not because I know anything about politics" you would think they were an idiot.
