I was just going to post about my annoyance with all the Pope coverage, but someone beat me to it. So I'll post this: Why isn't everyone up in arms about the Pope, leader of a church, coming to the US and preaching every chance he gets - even in our Congress - about how the US should conduct itself? You wouldn't know we had separation of church and state after all this Pope worship. I like the Pope but worship??? No one should worship him. So if a Muslim Imam from a foreign country wants to come here and do the same thing, why shouldn't we let him? There's a precedent being set.

We get it; the Pope is here. He's cool and all, but man do you need to live broadcast his every move? It's not even his every move, it's just live broadcasting a door that he may or may not come out of within the next hour or two. Really?

I can't get very upset about the Volkswagen diesel emission "scandal." 443,000 cars are under scrutiny in the U.S. There are 253 million cars in the United States. If you do the math, that's 0.2% of all cars in the U.S. that are in question (I'm assuming all of those 443,000 cars are still on the road). So...two-tenths of one percent of all the cars in the U.S. Meanwhile, keep filling those landfills with disposable diapers, America!

Pretty much all the women I work with are pro-life and have zero tolerance for anyone who would ever have an abortion. I wonder what any of them would ever do if they found out their teenage daughters were pregnant. My guess? Take them to get an abortion and not tell anyone.

I am so pissed. I posted that I had a chemical pregnancy--basically a very very early miscarriage (before 5 weeks). My friend ASSumed I was going to abort---I sent her a message when we found out because my husband would be deployed by the time the baby was born and I would have needed a lot of help with stuff. She said "If you decide to go through with the pregnancy...." I never even alluded to having an abortion. And then when I mentioned that I was bleeding she was saying how good of a thing that was. This, this is why I cannot and will never be able to get behind the pro-birth assholes. I have never met ONE who didn't assume that because I am pro-choice, I would always have that abortion.

Ben Carson usually only says things that are 1) horribly offensive about Muslims 2) showing a blatant ignorance of/disregard for the Constitution or 3) completely batshit insane. There, summarized his entire campaign for ya.

Ben Carson always seems like he wants to cry. I don't have patience for him to hear him out.

Oh sorry I see the confusion - I meant to say in that older confession they wouldn't allow me to adopt - that's probably why the confusion. Although they would try to stop me from aborting too, but they'd never know.

I am not nor have I ever been pregnant. I am saying I WOULD have an abortion, not adopt, if I were to be though. I am the one who said my family would not want me to abort. I was saying that because people were saying you should not abort, but adopt - but, I was saying that is why I would NOT choose to adopt. I would because my family would take the baby and adopt it and do all that stuff - shove it in my face, etc. I think you totally missed the point. Plus it was a what if - again, I have NEVER had a pregnancy.

Here's what I don't get about the "don't have sex if you don't want a baby" line. Could you imagine what would happen if every non-Duggar woman out there only had sex 1-5 times in her life between the ages of 24 and 38, and never before or after (I guess until menopause)? How much whining straight men would engage in?
