One of the kids in our neighborhood DIED from carbon monoxide while working on an engine with the garage closed. Go open the door if he won't!

My DH likes to go work in his garage for hours and hours at a time. He is currently working on an engine and he's running it in the garage with the door closed. Then he came in later complaining that he had a headache and felt achy. I told him he needs to have the doors open out there and to run an exhaust fan, but he never listens to me. Yup, because I don't know anything and he knows everything. Dumbass.

I had a lifelong friend that claims he got lucky with Monica on one of her book tours and thereafter. They stayed in touch for years. Friend's wife never found out. He's dead now. Question - is Monica just an independent woman in charge of her own sexuality or a slut for having sex with yet another woman's husband (my friend told her he was married so she wouldn't call him at home)?

The chances that you'd be able to get a gun out and kill a shooter while he's murdering those around you are pretty slim. You'd have to pull yourself out of freeze-in-place mode, which is the normal mode for when something dangerous happens. You'd have to get the gun from purse or holster or pocket. Aim it...not easy if there's confusion and a moving target, especially if you want to avoid hitting innocent people. You could compound the danger if you aren't a professional who understands the right way to take someone down. I don't think everyone being armed everywhere is a good idea.

My post about the SC 9 was just from my own Facebook and few threads from articles where a few people posted that if they or just someone in the church was carrying, they may have lived. Meaning that person or people carrying a gun would have been able to kill/take down the killer. It pisses me off that people think this way and constantly victim-blame for their deaths or rapes or anything of that sort because they (the victim) was not properly trained to defend themselves. Trust me, I'm heart broken too. I've been anxious over it because the underlying reason to kill them was out of hate because of their skin color. I deleted the idiots who insinuated it was their fault.

No one blamed the 9 people murdered in South Carolina for their own deaths. What channel are you watching? I live in SC. We are heartbroken.

Cuba has reopened their embassy in the US, and next month we will reopen ours in Havana. Now can we finally get rid of wet foot, dry foot?

Did you really just compare being single (and the way the legal system pertains to those as such) to jim crow laws? How ignorant can you be?!

If you think racism is being "dragged" into things, it's not. It was always there. It's just that these days people are feeling empowered to talk about it. Just because you never noticed it doesn't mean it's new.
