My son is at that age. I know he's starting to notice girls, but he mostly denies it. We had a good talk in the car the other day. I said, you're going through a lot of changes, huh? He shook his head and said, mom, you have no idea!

An old high school friend of mine posted a pic of her grown son on FB today. He looks like Matthew Mcconaughey. She must have started young. I feel old and like I shouldn't be looking at him :/

I have a few friends who complain about their Facebook sometimes... Example, a girl posts a picture of her dd6's math homework and captions it "idk how to do this, I've never seen stuff like this before" and people comment on it... Well apparently some people commented a few hours later about how certain answers were wrong and she flips her lid about how she was woken up from a nap thanks to these people correcting her dd's homework. Another friend gets angry any time she's tagged in something (yet goes tag happy herself quite often, idk how many times I get tagged in a status that says "I miss u" along with 50 other people) because she won't get any sleep that night since everyone will be commenting on it. Even my dh gets mad when I share or post things, or tag him in anything ever, when he's trying to sleep. They all have it set up so notifications get sent to their phone like text messages. If you don't want to lose sleep over something like Facebook don't set it up that way! These are also the same people who make such a big deal about how they're never on facebook. Make up your minds people... If you're never on it there is no need for the instant notification/text and if you need it because you're always on shut up about how you never use it.

maybe you think dealing with a child's chronic illness is a special kind of hell because you've never had to do so.

I have a serious need to hold a baby. My Facebook is full of sweet fuzzy headed little babies!! I wish I had a close friend with one, so I could hold it and get rid of this baby fever. Lol.

DD3 is currently our one and only and we were planning on keeping it that way, but suddenly I'm starting to feel like another one would be nice. We're not desperate for one, not feeling incomplete, but thinking it would be nice. Is having a second child really worth it? (hard to answer objectively, I know). I just don't see another child adding anything that we don't already have. Why change a good thing just because my bio clock is telling me to?

I was told by many people that my DS would be behind in school because I did not send him to preschool of any kind. This came from friends, family, neighbors and complete strangers. Their concern was he would not be able to keep up with kids academically or socially. I have been teaching him since he was young and we read all the time. He is in Kindergarten and reading at 2nd grade level. He went into school already knowing how to add and subtract two digit numbers. His vocabulary is well beyond children his age. His teachers have told us on many occasions he is the best mannered child they have ever met. He has lots of friends and does fine socially. I want to shove it in everyone's face that told me my child would not do well but I will take the high road and smile knowing my child is doing awesome.

Went to the hospital to visit a friends' father. Me, my friend, and my mom's roomie (I'm staying a week here while in town) all have sore throats. It better not be strep!

I vote for the following channels: Single, Work, and Wife. I really miss the work confessions.
