Oh wow...a [female!!] judge just gave a rapist 45 days in jail because his 14 year old victim had previous sex partners...apparently rape is now only rape if you're a virgin. What's even better is that the rapist has to do community service at a rape crisis center...somebody needs to disbar that crazy bitch.

Hey moms, what would you want for mother's day from an adult daughter with money but no time?

I like how you think PP. I loathe big heavy meals. We only eat them if there is company or lazy weekend days. As a family we much prefer smaller lighter meals at night.

My kid helps me with the dinner menu. It's getting silly. Monday is Sandwich Party. I just make four kinds of open faced sandwiches, cut them in fourths, and suddenly it's not being lazy- it's hors d'ouveres. Tuesday is Potato Stomp- baked potatoes with veggies and toppings. Wednesday is still Whatever Wednesday, but Thursday is now Picnic Plate. That is what we are calling it when we make a platter of whatever looks good on a hot day. Tonight it is salami, cheese, crackers, veggies and dip, strawberries, and grapes. Some people call that cleaning out the fridge and not cooking, but we're going to go with Picnic Plate. I also picked up some sushi, so there's that. It's too hot. Time to pour an Orange Pellegrino, pour some chardonnay in there, and call it a day.

Just enjoyed a wonderful, drama-free volunteer brunch at the kids' elementary school (the teachers treat all the volunteers to brunch). Drama-free because the number one bitch, one of the PTA co-presidents, was not there to play her little high school, mean girl games.

Invited MIL to two of my kid's functions this weekend. Never heard back. Haven't heard back if she is coming to DS's birthday party either. Oh she's alive and well-commenting all over her DD's Facebook about my niece-so it's not like she's home alone injured or something. I feel I have done my duty-invited to all 3 in writing. No response? Not my problem, I am not contacting her again.

XH says he's going to court to take our school aged child away from me because my BF recently laid his hands on me. I left my BF when he did it, but xH doesn't care. I don't see him being able to get full custody over this, even though I'm terrified he might win. The email he sent me reminded me of why I left him (he always liked to kick me while I was down). He said "Hey, I know you're going through a lot right now, but you can either give me our child, or you can hurt our child by forcing me to take you to court." I told him to stop contacting me. I have had full custody for 2yrs because he chose to go overseas. In 2 years we skyped a hand full of times, and I had to be the one to beg him to do it, he was too busy getting in other girls pants to even ask about our child.

It's all good on my end. Post away, that's what it's here for. Not that it matters what I say of course. I love reading people's thoughts and fears and good stuff.

The views I express here are usually things that I don't speak about IRL, especially not to my kids. They are visceral responses that i can't just let fly IRL. I don't even necessarily feel the same way all the time. I had nothing to do with the GoT dispute. What's funny is, it oddly affected me when I read it combined with the airline post. All this talk of "Well, that's just what men did at that time......totally normal. Get over it" (not a direct quote, of course) to "How dare people think men are like this!" There was a line in the airline post about gender roles being shitty. They are. As I said, I express my darkest fears and cynicism here anonymously, rather than projecting them onto the people around me, but I will start posting under my screen name more, so people can scroll past if they'd like to. I'm sure my post get tiring to a lot of people, which I understand.
