My kid helps me with the dinner menu. It's getting silly. Monday is Sandwich Party. I just make four kinds of open faced sandwiches, cut them in fourths, and suddenly it's not being lazy- it's hors d'ouveres. Tuesday is Potato Stomp- baked potatoes with veggies and toppings. Wednesday is still Whatever Wednesday, but Thursday is now Picnic Plate. That is what we are calling it when we make a platter of whatever looks good on a hot day. Tonight it is salami, cheese, crackers, veggies and dip, strawberries, and grapes. Some people call that cleaning out the fridge and not cooking, but we're going to go with Picnic Plate. I also picked up some sushi, so there's that. It's too hot. Time to pour an Orange Pellegrino, pour some chardonnay in there, and call it a day.
