I overheard some men spouting some bs at my job. "If a woman doesn't have children by the time she's thirty, something is wrong with her." I'm in my early twenties, but I was very offended by the statement. Yes, there is the possibility of a medical condition, but that doesn't make something 'wrong' with the woman in the way that is implied. Also, I didn't know we lived in an age where women were still absolutely obligated to have children. Women can have obligations, goals, and dreams, that don't have to revolve around having a child on their lap. I truly hope that men who think like this are in the vast minority. Let a man not have children at thirty. He's living the dream, right? Or is his check being garnished for child support every month?

Growing up my mom was a cusser. She didn't just cuss, she cussed AT her kids. So, things like "F*** you" and "You are nothing but a b****" was pretty standard growing up. It always hurt because I knew that cussing at your kids wasn't the right thing to go.She was on drugs and would snap. She would get in MY face like I was one of her friends. Imagine a drugged old woman getting in her 14 year old daughter's face as if she was going to fight her. God, she smelled. Now that we are older and I am moved away I can do nothing but roll my eyes at my mom when she posts on facebook and puts up those pictures like "I love my kids. Like if you do to!" or does martyred posts online or tells me about my siblings while not making herself sound if she did NOTHING wrong but I know how she baits people. I know how she gets and all I can do is roll my eyes and take things with a grain of salt.

I confess that I spilled an entire bag of mini pretzels on the floor getting dinner ready tonight, and they are still sitting pushed to the side because I don't feel like it right now. I confess that I too like mouth to vag relationships, but will try not to mention such seemingly horrifying things. I confess that I was really trying to save a new movie I got for my daughter for a special surprise, but there is a 90% chance that she gets it tonight or tomorrow just to end the terror reign of FROZEN.

I live in a small town, far away from any type of city life. For the most part, I love it. This past weekend I went to help an old friend in her big city. She lives in a beautiful condo on the water, in the middle of all the restaurants, shopping, etc. Sleep in, gym, lunch, shopping, nap, quick drink at a hotel bar. It was fabulous and I wish I would have taken advantage of that type of city lifestyle before I had a family.

I think Shamika Young knowingly handed her daughter to a child molester. He's been found dead and I'm not holding out much hope for Relisha. I pray that I'm wrong and that little girl is still alive.

I was walking ds to daycare an hour ago and got so mad at one of the people who lives along our route. Ds and I were walking... And I was pretty caught up watching him and for traffic. No one here shovels their sidewalks apparently so we had to walk on the shoulder and occasionally in the road. I wanted to make sure he didn't stomp in any deep puddles or fall, and that we didn't get run over. I had been hearing someone alternating between yelling 2 names, "jasper/Charlie come here!" From the time we got onto that road but because of echoes I couldn't tell where it was coming from. A couple houses away from daycare I suddenly hear, with great urgency "jasper, Charlie, come here NOW!" And look across the street to see 2 back Russell terriers barreling at us. I picked ds up because he's probably just a bit taller than them when they're on their hind legs and they start jumping on me, getting mud and snow on my pants. He likes dogs but idk how he'd feel about getting ambushed. No apologies from this guy, and no thank you when I keep one of them from getting hit by a car. If you can't control your dogs or be nice to people who save them, from injury at least, get a freaking fence!

If I wasn't lazy...I'd make all of our meals (mainly dinner) on my day off for the entire week. It sucks that I can't be at home to enjoy meals with my family (I work 3p-11p Sat-Wed). It sucks even more that my DH is spending money on take out at least 3 times a week.

SIL, after realizing you are going to be fined if you don't sign up for health insurance - how do you like Obamacare now? Yeah, not so much. Dumb on you for not seeing this coming.

OP of the daughter with the bone infection in her jaw. She's not responding to antibiotics still. Her pain is increasing. She's taking Tylenol 3 for pain, and she is in pain again after just a couple hours. She's getting another CT scan today and will be getting surgery again this week. They are going to do another biopsy to make sure they have the right diagnosis. It's just such a frustrating experience. It's been so difficult seeing her in pain and having her jaw all swollen.

For the most part, if a smoothie isn't green, I don't see the point. And even still, I'd rather actually eat fruit and a big salad.
