Went to a clothing optional hot springs with my friend last week. We stayed in our swimsuits, but it was interesting to say the least to be around all the naked people with no regard. Sometimes it meant seeing someone very up close (thanks old guy for walking in front of us as we laid on the lawn chairs). Even the hot gardner was naked as he tended to the garden. I couldn't look at first, but kinda checked out guys my age very discreetly of course on the second day. hehe

We got a wellness program where I work a few years ago. If you participate in screenings you get a discount on your insurance premium. I was ticked at first, but looking back at the screenings, they made me aware of my "numbers" and comparing the results over the last 3 years my numbers have all gotten better and I'm in a healthy range for everything!

We've been dating for almost 6 weeks now. There have been some ups and downs. All in all I think it's adjusting to our communication styles and working out the kinks. Our first overnight trip is this coming weekend. Hostel, hiking, and perhaps kayaking. Excited to see how we both travel and if we'll get sick of one another. Half-joking. I think it will go well!

I have always had this weird crush on Scott Weiland. I know he's getting kind of old now, but he still does it for me.

I've worked with many patients who have had gastric bypass and most of them do tend to go back to their old ways. I think the patients need to not only be educated about diet and exercise but also to follow up with a therapist. Most of them have to have a psych eval prior to surgery but what about after? People who have issues with food, be they anorexic or compulsive over-eaters, need to treat the underlying psychological issues that are causing them to behave that way.

A CSA is Community Supported Agriculture. Nothing low cost about it, and it's not free either. I paid several hundred dollars up front to join, so I could support a local farmer. But it's not working out for me, so I'm going to find someone else to take over my share. I'd rather use the money I make from my job to buy the veggies I want when I want them instead of waste this beautiful bounty of food every week, which seems to be what's happening. I really wish it could have worked out, but it's apparently not for me.

I confess that while the CSA share was kind of fun to begin with, I now officially HATE IT. I hate having all these super fresh veggies that I have to use RIGHT NOW so they don't go bad. It's so stressful to me. I hate them essentially dictating what I have to eat every week. I hate HAVING to find new recipes to use the stuff that I've never cooked with before. I love to cook, but when I want to, not because I have to. I'm looking for someone else to take over my share. I can't do this. I'm sorry farmer.
