My bad date wasn't too much of a "Date" as we were just friends. But he invites me to breakfast, doesn't have money so I have to pay. Insists his meal has a hair in it, complains, gets a free replacement. Complains again that it has hair in it (I don't see it) gets a refund - MY money - brags to me about the money, keeps it for himself! Leaves. My other one, I went with a friend to meet a guy online that she was interested in, for safety reasons. He puts his arm around her, then uses his other arm to start rubbing my back. Awkward.

My best friend is having her first baby and I am so excited. Apparently being really excited that someone close to you is coming up on a huge milestone in their life = I secretly want kids. Nope. Still don't. Sorry family. I'm a ray of sunshine, because my friend is an amazing person and her husband is awesome and they are the cutest couple. I can't wait to meet their little one when she gets here.

I'm having my ring resized at the jeweler. The jeweler wrote down the replacement value should anything happen to it--he wrote down a number MUCH higher than what the ring is actually worth. I didn't correct him though. I figure hey, he's the jeweler, right?

I feel you "wealthy mom" Poster. My mom never lets any thing go. My cousins all receive financial support in the form of jobs, cars and houses from their parents. A couple weeks ago my mom and I were discussing it once and I said "Aren't you happy your kids never ask for anything and you can just enjoy our relationship?" She says "You asked us for help moving your stuff into your house." That I did. TEN YEARS AGO when my DH was away for work. Not monetary help mind you. Just manpower from my Stepfather and my BIL (DH's brother.) Yep. That clearly is equal to adults being financially supported by their parents. **Rolls Eyes**

I know there are mental illnesses that you are born with but I believe a lot are from screwed up parenting.

I am so tired of my wealthy mom holding things over my head. She will offer to give me money for something then say, "I should make it a condition that you--------" I just turn the money down. I never ask, she offers on her own. I helped her for months and months when she was sick and I never asked for a dime. She gave $10 or $20 for bringing her to the doctor.I told her I don't want anything that has conditions attached. She said I was being argumentative, and that she cant believe I was turning money down, and that I was going to bring it up a week from now again and argue with her bla bla bla. I told if she brings it up again I will refuse to discuss it, and that I wasnt going to talk about it anymore and that was the end if it. I know what you thinking- just do what she wants and get free money. But if I give in it will be more aggravation in the long run than the money she offering is worth. I am the OP from Truu whose mom wanted me to dress up to take her to the doctor. Now I have a job, and don't need her "help".

A lady I work with goes on and on about her son doing two years in the Military and his sacrifice during that time. It gets worse around Memorial day, Veterans day and July 4th. She tells everyone how they should feel and be respectful for the men and women in the service. Her son went to Marine bootcamp and was kicked out half way through. He then went to Army bootcamp and was kicked out half way through. He never even served in the Military only attempted the bootcamps. The total time gone from home was about 7 weeks but somehow that translates into two years in the Military.

I'm regretting getting these Redbox movies because I'm having a super lazy day and I need to return them today because I know I'll forget tomorrow. Blah.

Bad date move on my part. We spent 1.5 h at coffee shop/ then walk to nearby pond. As we wrap up, he walks me to my car and gives me a hug. Then without thinking, I blurt out,"Oh, sorry! What's your name?" His face looked incredulous and it read,"WTF." Almost as quickly as it was said it was remembered, but alas damage was done. I introduced my name (we skipped this at beg.), and gave him an awkward handshake and said,"Nice to meet you!" I couldn't have ended the date any better, IMO.
