My DH is an airline pilot. He spends 240 nights a year in hotels and I am super paranoid we'll get bed bugs. I prefer he leave his suitcase in the garage. I wash what I can on hot and check everything closely for bugs. I wish they would come up with a legit bed bug laundry detergent and spray because I would use them.

The only 2 things cashiers do (or don't, rather) that annoy me are: When they don't greet me (I get it, I'm the same way at my job. I hate people too but at least say HI!) and when they don't tell me my total. One day when my glasses were broken I went to Target. The cashier didn't tell me my total. I asked her what it was and instead of TELLING me, she points to it! I said "I CANNOT SEE IT. WHAT. IS. MY. TOTAL?!" Rude witch. Can't even speak to your customer? I should have reported her. I never do that but she set me off.

The anger has been building and is now too much for me. I need to go back to therapy as evidenced by the amount of time I now spend daydreaming about punishment and revenge. I wish I could understand how to handle the aftermath and mess of someone's ugly betrayal especially when they won't stop lying and stirring the pot no matter how far out of it I stay. This is about the relative I confessed to hoping drops dead. I still do, because that's the only way any of us can start to heal and be a healthy family. It's hard to believe how one person's twisted dysfunction can poison so many lives. Therapy. I need therapy.

OP of the bedbug post. The fumigator recommended leaving them out as the area we lived in was cool enough they would die off quickly. This was after treating it 4 or 5 times unsuccessfully. The people who stole the mattresses kept calling and harassing us about the mattresses and came in trying to get them legitimately and we kept telling them no, obviously. They took it upon themselves to steal them, which is why I think they deserve any bedbugs. Room ended up getting completely renovated anyways from new carpet down to new drapes. Granted, the owners were jerks and I left there not long after this because they were cheap/dishonest.

What kind of karma do you get for airing out a mattress that you know has bed bugs instead of getting rid of it and calling a fumigator? I wonder how many people got bedbugs from staying at that hotel?

I used to work at a hotel and we put some one year old mattresses outside to air out because they had bedbugs. Someone was in the process of stealing them, but I didn't stop them because I figured they deserved the karma of the bedbugs for stealing.

I really dislike my father-in-law. I am half-Mexican but my mom's genes won out and If you didn't know me you couldn't tell. By some weird crazy happenstance my husband grew up in the same area my father did (and my grandpa still lives there). FIL knows this, yet felt the need to go on and on today about how much that area has gone down since "all the Mexicans moved there." I didn't say anything, but I wanted to say that maybe if he wasn't such a cheapskate he could move to another neighborhood and be an asshole there. The kicker is that he is Middle Eastern AND Muslim but feels he is better than everyone else. He treats servers at non-fancy restaurants like crap but at nicer placers he is more polite to them. He pisses me off so much.

I usually work weekends, but occasionally I'll get a Saturday off, like today. I can't stand it! No matter where I go, the beach, the park, the grocery store, clothes shopping, homegoods shopping, it's so crowded! The roads are backed up, no parking spots, lines to wait in. I'd much rather have my days off during the week.

I don't consider myself a lazy person. I'm responsible, I go to work everyday and do a good job, I have energy to exercise, I have very good hygiene, etc. But there are certain tasks in life that I don't have motivation or drive to do. I moved a few months ago and I still have many boxes to unpack, drawers and cabinets to fill and organize, pictures and shelves to hang, and I just cannot seem to get it done. Some days I'll wake up feeling good and energized and I have my "to do" list all filled out and ready to tackle, and then slowly but surely I begin to feel depressed and overwhelmed and end up not getting very much accomplished. There is no one to help me. Not sure how to change things.

If I knew when we bought a house, my DH would bitch and moan every single step of the way about any project or maintenance, I would have insisted we buy maintenance free. Sure, it would have cost more, but I would have rather paid more, than look at projects have finished, grass too long, etc. In fact, I am truly thinking we'll just hire out the rest of the work.
