BF was excited to have me watch a dvd of Sting singing the song, "Practical Arrangement", because he thinks it's so special. We watched and listened together and it even brought tears to his eyes because it touched him in some weird way. When it was over he wanted to know what I thought. I told him I thought it was creepy that a man that age wants to live with a much younger woman and her child. Oh shocker, an older man is lusting after a young woman. Fuck him. Creepy. BF was blown away by my unexpected response.

Dh has been calling me a SAHM lately. I wouldn't mind if that's what I was... But I'm not. I'm a working mom who has had her job ruined by his selfishness. We have 1 car and he refuses to let me drive it. He has appointments, though they have vans and drivers at the place he reports to work to drive him to them. I should just have to drop him off and pick him up and then be able to drive myself to work, and ds to daycare in between. But no, the times I've tried he finds excuses for me to be driving him around all day. And we can't really afford for me to work less than I was. It was only part time, but it kept us from going completely broke. Right now I'm working 1 day a week anywhere between 4 and 8 hours. I enjoy spending time with my child and am grateful that I can do so without us going hungry, but we can't afford to build a savings now, if some big repair needs to be done on the car tomorrow we'll have to pick other bills to not pay this month. I am not a SAHM. I am someone dying to go to work...

OMG elderly CW- you were off the clock a full 40 minutes ago! Are you planning on leaving any time soon? All you're doing is puttering, go putter at home!

My sil (my dh's sister) and her dh are having marital problems after being married 1 1/2 yrs, no children, financially well off, etc. To help, her mother, my mil, went and stayed with them. Wtf. I told my dh, if we are having problems and you invite your mother to stay with us to "help", consider yourself divorced. Seriously. His mom needs to butt out and his sister needs to grow the eff up.

Love the massive open online courses platform. Basically free online classes taught by professors at top institutions. The classes are self-paced. I'm taking classes on Psychology, human genome, and health & safety. Websites used are Udacity and edX.

I don't want to talk about quitting smoking on facebook because that would put too much pressure on me. I'd rather do it here. I don't want to make a big public deal over it, and I don't want everybody I know - to know that I failed if i fail. I also don't want people randomly asking me how I'm doing- I know me and that would bug the shit out of me. ... But I did NOT smoke yesterday. Or the day before. Or this morning. (WOOT!) And I think DH knows I'm serious this time too. He didn't smoke around me at all last night or this morning. That is a HUGE deal for him. He didn't say anything about it, he just didn't light up. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to jinx it.

I don't understand how some people think. My DH's old college roommate is very conservative. Posts the typical super conservative news and memes all over FB. All this 'women should be women and men should be men' type stuff. If that's how you feel that's how you feel. But when we went up to visit him for his engagement last summer he grilled me about being a SAHM and said the usual rude crap about 'what do you DO all day' and 'you don't WORK?!' Like it was very shocking to him. Well doesn't the whole 'men should be men' thing mean women stay home and raise their families? I mean you can't have it both ways. I can't go out and 'earn my keep' and also stay home and 'do what god intended.' For me to stay home means my DH supports me. How can you be for and against something at the same time?

One of my dogs takes the opportunity to mark in my office anytime he can get to it. I have retrained him several times, but he always converts back. I just want to say-you ass, you are the reason we can't have a new house!!

I miss smoking pot. The rolling of joints, taking killer bong rips, the packing of bowls, the smell of skunk bud, the killer high of thai bud, using roach clips, and just being stoned. I loved waking and baking. I loved having the munchies, i loved laying out on beach and smoking a fatty. But I hate that my body changed and just doesn't like it anymore. I'll always be a stoner at heart though.
