In response to a confession. i live in an area with a relatively low cost of living and, trust me, i know that I'm doing fine financially and that a lot of people make a lot less than me. i don't look down on people who make less than me either. i feel loser-y when i compare my salary to that of my friends and my friends alone. a lot of them make my yearly salary in 2 or 3 months. i know money isn't everything. it's just a dumb insecurity of mine which is why I'm confessing it on a confession site.

In response to a confession. Well, you certainly made me feel like a loser. I make like, half of that and I make decent money in my area. I wonder if you live somewhere where the cost of living's higher because there are very, very few jobs out here where people make that much.

I think I screwed up my timecard. Crap. I'm going to have to email the HR people to fix it now and I hate dealing with them. Grr.

I've applied to 67 jobs this month. I finally got a phone interview and they liked me enough to schedule an in-person interview for next week. Hope I get the job.

I'm make the least salary-wise out of all my friends from high school and college. I make $70k/year. I know that's not a bad living at all and that they don't care, but I still feel like a loser when I'm around them.

Mixed emotions about heading back to work after a week vacation. Though I just stayed home organizing, cleaning, purging apartment, catching up on movies, and will see girlfriends this week, I didn't get as much done as I wanted to.

Not gonna lie- I kicked ass at the workshop. My boss came in at the end and afterwords I joked, "You missed all the parts where I was really great!" He said that he could hear laughter and "a lot of energy" coming from the room. Yay!

So Elderly CW is all mad at her 50yo DD because she isn't coming to visit this summer. "She hasn't been home in three years and I haven't seen (grandson) since graduation!"..... I dunno. I mean, when you're 50 and you've been living in your house (four states away from where you grew up) for twenty-some years.. THAT is home. I mean at what point do you stop visiting your parents, and they come visit you? Her DD has a career, a kid in college (living at home, community college), a husband, a lot going on. She, on the other hand, has absolutely NOTHING to do but come here bug the shit outta me. Both of her DD's moved far, far away from her. Her DH died five years ago. Why doesn't she just move closer to one of them? I don't understand that woman.

In response to a confession. I dont have a criminal record at all, but after background there would have been a polygraph so it definitely would have come out. Plus I'm an honest person so I wouldn't have felt good about lying.
