I'm really struggling to find a hair product that works for me. I have fine (Caucasian) hair with a pretty significant curl pattern and I just want something that's gonna have hold - so my curls don't collapse during the day, frizz control, and add shine. WITHOUT making my hair look greasy or weighing it down. I tried aussie 'miracle' curl cream and my hair is just beyond fixing today. It's too short to pull back so I have big greasy-looking loops. And my hair is pretty short so it's literally sticking straight out from my head in certain spots. Got it tucked behind my ears trying to get it to at least lay down. Lort. Maybe I'll just let it grow out long again. At least then I could put it up or braid it.

In response to a confession. I am not a big fan of my InstaPot, but the only reason I keep it is because that thing hard boils eggs like a boss. Perfect every time, and the shells never stick. I don't know how it works, but it does.

I really wish there were more ideas about how to do cheap meatless/vegan meals. As in, not ones that use a bunch of those fake meats and vegan cheeses and stuff like that. I make a really good vegan chili that's super cheap that I make with bulgur and pumpkin and smoked anchos, but so many people think going vegan is expensive probably because so much of the fake meat/dairy is pricey.

For about a year I've wanted this diffuser that I saw online but it's very expensive. I recently gave in and purchased it along with a starter kit of essential oils that go in it. I'm so disappointed that I spent that money. It's really pretty and it's suppose to be healthier to diffuse oils than burn candles, but so far I don't like any of the oil smells. Also it's not practical for me to have to deal with all of the parts to the diffuser to wash and store and then all of the bottles of oils. It's confusing to know what to do with each one of the oils and how to mix them, etc. I'm not patient enough for that. Ugh, what a stupid, ridiculous waste of money.

I can't be alone in this....does anyone else have a niggling little medical problem (like, say, toenail fungus or something) that you just won't tell your doctor about because you're afraid you won't be able to afford the actual treatment? Inquiring minds want to know, especially if you also have a high deductible plan with crappy co-insurance after you meet it.

In response to a confession. Here's the thing, today's processed food is literally engineered to make you hungry, so you eat (and buy) more of it. So while you can still have processed food and lose weight, you are not setting yourself up for long-term success. Food manufacturers spend billions of dollars trying to figure out how to change your brain chemistry to make you crave more food. And they've been pretty darn successful. You may be able to over ride that for a while, but eventually that processed food, no matter how little, will trigger your brain to want more and more, making it much, much harder to not over eat.

I really want to build up my butt again. It looks so flat right now and I hate it. I know it's because I lost too much weight so I plan to start a pretty decent glute program along with my reverse diet to try to build them back up to where they were. I'm sick of not filling out my jeans.

In response to a confession. Not yet, but Unbelievable on Netflix is absolutely amazing, hands down one of the best things I watched in 2020 alongside the Queen's Gambit, but also much more powerful. It should honestly be required viewing for both men and women. Men can understand how women are constantly questioned and gaslit out of reporting men, and women who still don't realise that how they may have been treated after talking about their assault is totally wrong, can realise how wrong it is. Plus the two cops in it are amazing, Toni Collette is so incredible.

About 31% of all rapes are ever reported to police. Only 5.7% lead to an arrest. 1.1% are referred to a prosecutor. 0.7% are convicted of a felony. 0.6% get jail time. HALF A FUCKING PERCENT. But tell me again how men are the real victims.
