This lady on FB posts that she wants to lose weight, right? And she's looking for advice. Somebody tells her to stop drinking soda and replace it with water. Good advice! She responds with, "Oh I don't really drink anything but water already. Maybe unsweetened tea on occasion.".... LOL, lady you just posted yesterday pictures of the strawberry cheesecake 'healthy' shake you got at some diner. And you post pictures all the time of random terrible food and drinks you're enjoying. I think it's funny. I mean, this lady bragged a couple weeks ago about how she's tried every flavor of mountain dew ever made. LOL.

In response to a confession. I'm going to start violin lessons! I found a nice teacher on Yelp and was able to get a little reduction on her rate. I would never been able to afford this growing up, but I'm excited to start in my 30s. It's never too late start!

I did all my meal prep for the week and I feel so accomplished. It's one good habit I have, actually. I'm also really surprised at how many people don't do it. It takes me a couple hours on Sunday but I save soooo much time during the week.

I'm so effin' sick of forcing my DH to eat veggies. How is this so hard?? I try to sneak them into things and he gets mad that it tastes too healthy. And he apparently hates that they cost so much "per calorie" which I don't understand. I know it's a bit more expensive to buy produce than crap carbs, but plain pasta and rice have not a lot of nutrition either. Maybe I just have to get more creative.

I just made a huge pot of polenta with veg broth sprinkled with Parmesan. Does anyone else like polenta? If so, would love to hear how you enjoy it.

In response to a confession. I am 48 and I never exercise. I know I should, but I honestly hate exercise more than any other activity in life. I have tried everything. Every class, every sport, you name it. Hated every one of them. I also live in a stupid hot climate, so it limits my outdoor activities most of the year. The closest gym is a 30 minute drive. I have gone through spurts of regular exercise of months, even a year, and honestly, I didn't feel any different. So that doesn't help. I also work 8-10 hours a day. To go to the gym, I would need an hour of commute time, plus time to change and shower, etc. Either I would need to wake up at 4am or get home at 11pm. And I think sleep is important too. It just adds to my stress of one more thing I have to do.

OMG I called DH to ask him to bring me some lunch because I knew he was coming into town. I thought he'd make me a sandwich at home and bring it. Nope. Take out. Greasy, salty, fried chicken fingers with super salty cajun seasoning... a bucket of ranch... and a blueberry biscuit that was literally soaked in butter and honey. It was good, but now I feel like shit. I can't eat like this anymore. I was eating so well after I recovered from being sick, and now this. I. Feel. Gross. I need a health reboot. Maybe a 24 hour water fast will help.
