I have a BIL like that. Totally anti-abortion, "women should just learn to keep their legs together", Bible-thumping Christian. What he won't tell you is that when he was in high school, he slept with some girl, didn't use a condom, and got her pregnant. The girl's parents got an abortion for her and the entire subject was just dropped. But you can't bring that up now, because that was a mistake he made when he was younger...heaven forbid anyone else who's 16 and scared ever screw up.

I hope you Trump folks realize that his ban on travel from Muslim countries doesn't just include Muslims. There are A LOT of Christians in Syria and the Middle East, seeing as it's the birthplace of Christianity and all. A family from my brother-in-law's church is from Syria. They were bringing the rest of their family over here to escape the violence. You can probably imagine that being a Christian in Syria is not the safest thing right now. They had even bought a house here. Their plane landed in Philadelphia. They were forced to go back to Syria. They are as good as dead now. The families that founded MY church back in the 1930s were Christians from Lebanon. Their descendants are still very active members, How Christian of you to not allow other Christians fleeing violence against them by Muslims into your country. I'm sure that's what Jesus would have done.

If I see one more post on FB by one of my Christian family members or friends saying that "White Christians are the only group that's being unfairly hated and discriminated against in this country", I will scream. White Christians have the most privilege of any group that is in this country, period. And it's always been that way. White Christian men just don't want anyone else to have equality.

"Liberal crap" oh, giving to the needy? Trying to make sure aged, disabled and poor had medical care? Let me guess, you're a conservative "Christian" who'd probably hate Jesus if you met him in real life.

If a religion preaches intolerance and judgement, it isn't a surprise that political beliefs follow that same paradigm. Every Trump/Pence supporter I know is proud of their (twisted) Christian beliefs. That's hardly a coincidence. The spiritual center I work with supported Bernie. Again, not a coincidence.

Tony Perkins was the guy who who claimed God sends natural disasters to punish gay people. He was a Christian lobbyist. Then his house was destroyed by a flood.

I also know "Christians" that have had abortions that are super pro-life. It's so disgusting. They always have a really good reason why their abortion was ok and because now they're pro-life, it's like it erases their history completely. Hypocrites.

What part of the South do you live in? I live in the South too and there are plenty of pseudo-Christians. They may get along with black people just fine on a day-to-day basis, but heaven forbid if their daughter wanted to date a black man. And if someone is gay? Well, then you can just forget it.

I know PLENTY of pseudo Christians. Racist as fuck. Total hypocrites. Thinks gays should die and that God gave them AIDS as punishment. Doesn't seem to explain cancer, though?

I don't know any pseudo Christians. I live in the South. The white Christians I know are sincere in their faith and don't hate blacks. Black Christians, and most black people here are Christian, don't hate whites. (See Mother Emanuel church survivors example.) We have always lived side by side with black people and though there is a history of socioeconomic differences, that isn't so true anymore.
