My DH is bipolar and has a history of violence, but he's got no police record (yet). Today he bought an M-44 at an estate auction and took it home right from there. They claimed they were doing a background check, but they basically took people's word when they said they had no criminal record. So...if they actually do the background check, the people with the criminal records now have guns. This sort of private selling is a huge part of the gun control problem. They are supposed to run background checks and they most of the time do not.

I wonder if the lazy idiot coworkers poster is the same as the bipolar dh poster. I think so, and I think it's kind of neat to match anonymous posts with each other.

I got a tip from my therapist to help my bipolar DH. She said to record him when he's in a rage and play it back to him. I bet if he hears what an ass he is, maybe he'll start realizing that if I were to call the cops, it wouldn't be unwarranted.

I posted about my DH telling me I should just kill myself. He is bipolar and takes medication, but he didn't take it Saturday or Sunday (big no-no) and on Monday, he got very seriously off-balance and went into his rage mode. He's back to being stable again after taking his meds Monday and Tuesday, but I have given him an ultimatum that if he chooses not to take his meds, I will leave. I can't handle that kind of treatment.

Bipolar DH was nice and sweet last night. Too little too late. I made my decision last week while I was in agony and just wanted some soda and had to wait hours. My back pain is almost gone, my anger is not. I am now seeing why his XDW threw him out of the house. The details as to why are not clear, but I know it was right after DH had an argument with someone in her family.

Bipolar DH said he dosent care about helping me in the house because his name is not on it. Sorry, I had it before we got married. My back is better, time to start going thru stuff. I tried the other day but started having pain again. I am sick of this. I got up in the middle of the night last year to bring him to the ER when he was sick, but I have to wait hours for soda when I am in so much pain I can barely walk.

I'm bipolar and I don't abuse anyone. Not even myself. Having a mental illness makes life harder, managing emotions and relationships can be difficult, but never have I been abusive. It's just not an excuse for me.

I have the bipolar DH. He stayed home from work the other day because he "wasn't feeling right" Keep in mind about a week ago he left work early because he "didn't want his good mood ruined" And last night I was sitting in the living room and the dog was next to me. Every time DH came in the living room, she started shivering/shaking. I am also wondering if my back pain stress related, I have heard that it can be.

I have the DH who is bipolar. Yes he was diagnosed a few years ago. He took medication, saw a psychiatrist and everything was good. Then the psychiatrist he was seeing stopped taking his insurance.I verified this. He found another one, but he just did not click with second one. Then he announced he didint need his meds anymore. I suggested several times to him that maybe he should talk to someone about what has been going on. Then DH said to me, "Have you thought about seeing someone for your depression?" I am thinking of seeing a therapist myself, to make sure I am not the problem. I realize I am not perfect, no one is.

I have the bipolar DH. My back is better today, I am going to start going thru stuff later to see what I want to keep. I confided my plans to my closest friend. She thinks DH will straighten out between now and spring. I appreciate her optimism, but I do not think it will happen. I am tired of being argued with when I am in severe pain or sick. About 2 years ago I was home sick with bronchitis and he started giving a list of things to do because I was home. I told I didint feel well and that was why I am home and to please leave me alone. He argued with me even though I could barely talk. I do not want to be on my deathbed years from now with DH standing over me demanding I get up and wash the dishes. The other day we were low on milk and I had to go out and get it while still in pain. DH refused to take 15 minutes out his morning sleep before work to run to the convenience store a mile from the house and pick it up.
