I tried online dating once, several years ago. I got nothing but men looking for sex only, men who were unemployed, (one of whom tried to get me to co sign a loan for him after 3 dates) and men with children by different mothers.None of those options appealed to me. I cancelled my ad when I responded to a man whose profile said he carried a few extra pounds and worked 3 different jobs as a security guard. I dont mind a few extra pounds and I was happy that I had found a hard working man. Mr Few Extra Pounds Security Guard turned out to be 500+pounds former security guard and unable to work due to his size, and allowed his sister to run his life. "I hope my sister approves of you" Still I gave him a chance. I really try not be judgmental. But when he expected me to let his sister run my life as well as his....ummmmm no.

I just "broke Up" with a BFF and while difficult I feel relieved. We were friends for almost 30 years. She has been a drama queen her entire life. She created chaos whevere she went, constantly needed attention and as an extremely high maintenance friend. I couldn't do it anymore, especially now that she wants me to "support" her while she abuses alcohol and cheats on her husband (a woderful person I have also known many years). I told her I would no longer return her calls and blocked her from FB. She went completely off the deep end. I'm just glad she lives far away because I'd worry if she were geographically close to me. I really think she has a mental disorder and I suggested, gently, she get therapy. Other than that I'm done.

To chime in about vaccine injuries... My friend's daughter is two weeks older than my son, and she was early with all her developmental milestones. She crawled, clapped, stood, walked, etc. way before my son. Suddenly, after receiving her 12 month vaccines (or maybe 15 month, can't recall), her development halted and then she began regressing. She lay on the floor like a newborn--no muscle control or motor skills at all. She's older now, and she uses a wheelchair to get around. She's very intelligent, but her body is weak. It's agreed that vaccinations were the culprit, and she has multiple younger siblings (all unvaccinated) who are completely healthy. I'm not anti-vaccine, but it just makes you wonder.

Feeling conflicted. I'm definitely mentally/emotionally/physically a lot better off since I started staying at home. I'd like to continue that until I graduate in May, when ill be certified for something I want to do. Dh was totally supportive, at least to my face. But his mom let it slip that he's been complaining about me not working... I am a mom, our house has been spotless and junk free, so I'm not just sitting on my ass all day. I'm wondering if I shouldn't take one of these shitty offers just to make him happy. Of course, when I was working he wasn't happy either. House was dirty, in too much pain and stress for sex, no time for nice dinners, etc.

Not vaccinating your child can and does have a detrimental on others. There are little ones out there who can not get these vaccinations due to their medical conditions. I can't imagine how stressful it must be for those parents who have been through hell just to keep their kids alive (organ transplants/cancer etc) to have to basically play Russian roulette with their child's well being every time they leave the house. I know I would feel horrible if I didn't vaccinate my children and that choice lead to another parent having to bury their child.

I'm watching TV in our room this evening and DH walks in and asks me what I've been doing all day. Seriously? Made every meal, spent half the day at a festival, washed folded & put away 4 loads of laundry you brought home from working out of town, then packed you up again. Showered both kids, got them ready for bed, ....judgmental ass.

A guy I went to high school with who made my life miserable for decades past high school, yes decades, died this week. May he rest in peace, and now I can too. Mental illness that was mysteriously focused on me. Like 25 years after high school. No excuse for this stuff.

I wish you could buy a la carte health insurance plans...for example, you could choose a mental health plan that covers therapy and anti-depressants/mood stabilizers 100%, but you would have a co-pay for regular office visits and maybe a deductible for major medical things. Or you could choose a maternity plan that covers all your OB visits and the postpartum visits, etc., or you could pick a diabetes plan that covers mainly your testing supplies, etc. but you would have to have a copay for other things. I feel like I pay so much for services I never need and I'd be glad to pay the deductible if I did need them, but the stuff I actually DO need isn't covered at all or won't be covered until I meet a crazy high deductible.

OP who was in the mental health/rehab facility. The guy who rode his bike was someone I met there. We made out a lot and had sex 3 times in different areas of my house. Propped up on the bathroom sink was my fave. He was so quirky and sexy with black hair and big dark eyes. He spent the night and we had a blast together. A few days later I get a phone call from someone I didn't know existed, his pregnant girlfriend. It gets even weirder. I was stunned and felt horrible. All I could do was be honest and apologetic to her. She wanted details. Turns out, she wanted to check out what her bf experienced for herself. They came to my house with another guy. Nothing happened. They brought those silly sex dice and we played a few rounds, but no one was interested in really getting down. I wasn't. Needless to say, it was strange.

I was on an antidepressant and it drastically reduced my appetite. I lost about 30 pounds with very little effort. One day at work I was surprised (or should I say ambushed) with a company wellness award. I received a plaque and accolades on our company electronic bulletin board. Their impression was that the weight loss was due to healthy living and exercise, but the truth was I was horribly unhealthy on that medication, both physically and mentally. I have gone off of it now and have gained all the weight back and then some. I'm sure I look like a failure to my co-workers but deep down I know that going off of that was the best thing I ever did for myself. (PSA: For those of you struggling with depression please don't NOT seek help because of my post. I picked the wrong A/D is all. Many of them do help people.)
