I think the only truly miserable person is the one who keeps posting passive aggressive remarks like "some of you are miserable" or "immature twits". What's wrong with you? Take a breather from this site and come back in just a bit when you feel a bit better. Don't let people get to you so much and try to include yourself constructively. Unless you can't mentally handle that...then carry on.

What the fucking fuck? I made a simple comment that I'm sad that I don't hear from my son more often, and then comes the ration of shit posts about how parents shouldn't be so needy, you need to get a life, you're so pathetic, etc, fucking, etc. ANNOUNCEMENT PEOPLE... I DO have a life... with a job, a BF, plenty of interests, hobbies, and friends. I'm a mentally balanced, happy, healthy, busy independent woman. Yes, I'm thankful he is independent and has his own life as well. I'm not a helicopter parent, nor have I ever smothered him. EXCUSE ME for wanting to hear from my son more than a few times a year, and for coming here to a confession site to vent. Can we please drop the ridiculous response posts now?

I really dislike those "meme" on the internet about "... I'm crazy, and a slob and fat and my hairs a mess and I act all wild and unpredictable, but people who don't care about all that and take me as I AM are real friends, and not fake!!" Really? If this is a real woman, I want a sex change. Why do we want to reenforce the stereotype that all woman have some one of mental issue? Can't take care of themselves? Can be organized and on track? Men would never claim to be all of these failing, yet think that makes them "real". It makes you a total loser.

I believe you. I do see posts that are relevant to world issues get little response. I agree that the government wants to divert our attention, but I just had this mental image of this evil plan to get people fired up over camel toes being concocted and it was just kinda funny. I have to recant my statement. I don't find camel toes that funny. I did think the posts about the lopsided camel toe coworker were funny though. I hadn't posted anything about them. You're absolutely right. They want to occupy our thoughts with useless nonsense. I think people choose to ignore things that they feel powerless against. There's a feeling of futility among the general public, because we're shown that if you rise up, you're shot down. Sorry for sounding jerky.

DH is bipolar, insists nothing is wrong, stopped medication on his own and refuses to talk to a professional, I am not sure how much more I can take. Getting nasty with me for no reason, then being all lovey dovey less than an hour later, and then wondering why I am angry with him is getting to be too much. I will admit I feel sorry for him and that is part of the reason why I havent split with him, along with the usual financial concerns, family stigma (my family is very judgmental), etc.

For me, a guy has to be in my "head" in order for me to like it. I can go through the motions but if I'm not into it mentally, it's just a waste of time for me. Sometimes I wish I could just get off without using my brain!

I am tired of hurting. Both physically and mentally. I wish I could just stop. I love my kids more than life itself, but I feel like I am hurting them by being here. I am a single mom who gets no help from my ex. I hope that when I see my psychiatrist next month he can help me. I have to be better. I have to be healthy to take care of my kids. I just wish I knew how to do it.

If you DO inherit brains explain this...child of completely average parents goes on to be a genius. There are all manner of things that could come into play to cause someone to be very smart...social, environmental, wealth, genetic and many other. We just don't know enough to say one thing or the other. A few decades ago everything was about environmental stimuli, now it's swung back to genetic. Genetic determinism is a pretty dangerous thing if you ask me. Most likely it's far more complicated than one thing or the other. Yes, you get smart kids of smart parents, you also get very smart kids of average parents. Perhaps most importantly, smart does not indicate what you go on to do in life. Plenty of smart people go on to sectors that don't test their intellect. Not to mention the fact that intelligence is not just about IQ. There are many different types of intelligence. So yes, to say it's just about genetics is totally simplistic.

I think I have 0 sex drive. I can go a long time wihout thinking about it. When i do hink about it, it's the appropriate time during my cycle. Sometimes i can walk around wet for a week when I'm obsessed over some celebrity. But when DH tries to touch me, I have to fight off feelings of disgust. I have to mentally turn off the irritation and revulsion. So this isn't really having 0 sex drive is it?

I am getting beyond frustrated with drug companies and doctors. My DH has recently been diagnosed with bipolar and it seems like every drug he's being given has horrible side effects--neurotoxicity, loss of ability to think, sexual side effects, sleep disturbances, etc. He feels worse being on the drugs than when he wasn't taking anything. We're looking into natural remedies and lifestyle changes that so far, seem to be helping more than any of the drugs do. I swear, sometimes I think doctors tell people they're mentally ill just so they can sell more drugs to them.
