There is this guy that I'm kinda sort interested in talking to at work. I'm really attracted to him, and I have been since the first moment I saw him. The attraction is mutual. I honestly think that if we actually got to know each other, we'd hit it off. However, he also seems to be flirty with other women. My heart can't stop daydreaming about him, but my head is telling me that investing my heart into a seeming serial flirt is a bad idea...especially since I've never truly been a real relationship. I don't think I could handle it.

My grandma and I were going through old photos this afternoon. There were a whole bunch of candid pics of her from her late teens and early 20s. She was so beautiful and it was so cool to listen to the stories behind all the pictures. She is 92 and knowing that I probably won't have her much longer breaks my heart. She's the best.

A non emotional friendship with someone means you are happy to see them. You are happy wheb they meet someone nice. An emotional affair means your heart races, you get butterflies when you see their car. It bothers you when they date someone. You feel pangs of jealousy when they admire another. You lay next to your spouse at night and replay all the events that transpired.....did you sat HIS name a little too often? Did you sound guilty?

I'm very competitive, if I can't be #1 at anything else, I would at least choose to be #1 in my DH's heart. So, NO, I could not be a willing mistress either. You are by definition #2 on the list. My ego would not be able to handle.

Has anyone ever had to break up with their best friend? I think i may have to and it's breaking my heart. we've been best friends for about 17 years or so but she's changed a lot - and maybe i have too - but i no longer like hanging out or even talking with her that much anymore. over the past few years she's become extremely judgmental, bitter, and temperamental toward everyone but i think i get the brunt of it because she's known me the longest (and I'm a bit of a pushover) and i'm tired of it. the only reason i've put up with her change in attitude for so long is because i do love her and when she would start acting out i'd try to remember the person she used to be but that's not working anymore. it's just so hard because i've known her since we were in middle school and it's not like i can just get a new best friend this late in life (i'm very introverted and kinda shy) so it's either i (painfully) end the relationship and have fair-weather friends the rest of my life or have a best friend who i only sporadically like being around. i don't know which is worse at this point.

Oh look! Mary and Bobby's engagement photos are on Facebook now. Let's take a look! There they are holding hands on the railroad tracks. Oh look! They're walking in a random patch of tall grass gazing into each others eyes. Here is one of them making a heart shape with their hands. Look at this one! They're kissing in the background and the camera is zoomed in on the ring. I have NEVER seen photos like this! SIGH.

There are many young women who get into affairs with older married men. They do it because they are naive and self-centered. They don't see it as hurting the wife, they believe in their hearts that he loves only them. Sad disillusionment for most. He'll just go onto the next young woman and the wife will either put up with it or she won't. Which would you be?

I could have written the "man I will never say this to" confession. I am trying so hard in my marriage and my DH makes me feel like a throw-away. He spends hours online surfing porn, surfing sex video sites. I work so hard in and out of the home, I'm great in the bedroom, he says he loves me and is happy and turned on by me so I don't get it. I come home from a day's work, I work more than him, the house is a mess, he does nothing. He puts on weight, I'm in shape. I want counseling, even a book, anything. I want him to get a grip on his porn addiction; stop spending out of control, or help around the house. ANYTHING. Take care of his health. All he does is yell at me, talk circles around me, blame me for everything and complain. Naturally my hurt heart turned to someone at work. There's nothing pysical, but the man at work is there everyday, and he seems to really, really like me. We spent over 90 minutes chatting on Facebook the other night... I def have feelings for him. I wish my DH would wake up and make an effort. I wish he cared. I wish he wanted to make our marriage worth something. I want to feel special again. I want to feel loved. DH just stays with me I think cause I'm convenient. I'm sad. I'll never be able to have the man at work... at best he might crush on me, but I'm much older and I can't bear children. But I wish so bad I could feel loved again like I know I deserve. It's not so easy to walk away. I doubt I'd find anyone else anyway. I want my DH to open his eyes; I don't want to try to find another man.

To the man I will never be able to say this to...You make me feel so beautiful. You make me feel valuable, and irreplaceable. You make me feel like I am the only woman in the world. I love spending time with you. I love the way you look at me. You tell me that you love my smile, and the way I giggle when I am shy or nervous. You touch my cheek and run your fingers through my hair, and its something no man has ever done to me before. You have made me feel so special when I feel like I am worthless. You are one of my dearest friends, and I am starting to have deep feelings for you, but we can never be together. I wish I could tell you how wonderful you make me feel. You make me wish my life had gone differently, and we had met in another time, another life. I feel so guilty for having these feelings for you. I have no right to wish for more than I have. You will always hold a special place in my heart. I wish I could tell you how I feel, so that maybe I could make you feel as special as you make me feel. Maybe in another life...until then I will hold this secret of you in my heart.

too bad my husband wasn't having a heart attack right now. I'd pretend to not know and let him die. Bastard.
