The thing I used to hate the most about Truu is when I'd post a heartfelt or somewhat difficult confession and someone would pick apart my spelling. One time they picked apart the fact that I spelled 'embarressed' wrong. Seriously? I'm writing about something serious and you want to be the Spell Check Nazi? They made fun of me for it, said "you can't even spell basic words". What an asshat.

He doesn't agree with his daughter wanting to get married right now and to this particular guy who seems like a bit of a moocher, so he's not walking her down the aisle. He feels like it would be fake of him to give his blessing and act happy for them when he's not. This decision is ruining their relationship even though he doesn't think it should. Her attitude is, accept my fiancé and my choice to marry now or I'm shutting off all communication. I understand why he is standing strong on his convictions, and I suppose I understand why she is as well, but I'm not sure I agree that he should have been so hardheaded about it. She's an adult and she should be able to make her own decisions now, even though from my perspective it is a foolish one, mainly financially. I know this is breaking his heart even though he's acting brave on the outside. He's being a bit controlling; he still pictures her as his little girl and he needs to let her go and make her own choices, whether they are good or bad. Sad day.

I made a very heartfelt and sad confession and got nothing but hugs and nice, encouraging comments. It really made my day. Thank you for your support.

my poor stepson (5) is having some pretty terrible behavior problems. when hes with his mother, there are no rules, not discipline, no guidance. From what we can tell based on what he tells us, and his therapists, there is basically only yelling, violence and neglect. When he's at preschool during her custody, he is a bully to kids, violent with them, loud, disobedient and when the teacher tries to be reasonable with him and talk to him about his behavior he says "you can't tell me what to do" or "i don't care i'm going back to my Mothers" but when he's with us, he's kind, sensitive to other kids, plays well and minds. ... Up until recently. His mother is preparing to move out of state, and his behavior is becoming erratic. I've been in his life since he was 5 months old, and this isn't a not your kid not your problem type of deal. I just feel so bad for him. I know he knows the difference in his behavior. and i know that he's acting out because of his environment. breaks my heart. (and honestly, gets on my nerves) thanks for keeping your negative comments to yourselves on this one. :)

My DH and I are HS sweethearts. We've been together longer than we have been apart (both early 30's). We had a really rough go of it for about two years when I was very ill while pregnant with our youngest and then she was a sick baby. Things have evened out and I finally feel like we have our rhythm back. It feels so good I don't know if I have the right words. I was so worried for a while that we had lost our way. I'm so glad we didn't.

Truly didn't mean to stir the pot. My comment about greensquirell was actually made light heartedly, though I don't care for her much.

People that take INTERNET STRANGERS (keyword here is strangers. You have no idea who these people are or what they look like. Say it with me.) comments so much to heart really need to take a step back and think about it. You really want to waste any amount of your one life being pissed off because someone says they look good in shorts and glasses? Come on man.

My friend has an earlier shift at work now and texted me yesterday at 9am to see what I was up to "later." I responded that I didn't think I had any plans but want to know what time was later in case dh had plans for us. She didn't get back to me. Around noon my phone started acting up, it was stuck on one screen and nothing I did would fix it. I couldn't get any calls or texts... It kind of rang once but only for a second before it stopped. Around 230 she tried to just walk into my apartment. I was so irritated. We didn't actually make plans and I hate when people show up unannounced, and to just try to waltz in through the front door? She does this all the time knowing I lock my door any time I come or go and then gives me crap for locking my door "how am I supposed to come bother you if your door is locked?" When I asked her what she was doing she said she had texted and called to tell me she was on her way... If I hadn't made actual plans with someone by the time I got out of work and they weren't answering me when I wanted to come over I wouldn't just show up and expect them to entertain me. It seemed ridiculously rude to me that she did this. And it was only the start of her visit. She then went on to constantly interrupt me to tell me stories about herself and her kid and encourage ds to do things I told him not to do. Then, after complaining at the playground by my building about how no one supervises their kids at the playground where she lives, lets her kid wander off with another child and that girls mom and basically had a stranger babysitting her dd because she didn't want to get out of the shade. I was so embarrassed by this. I continue to talk to her because she is a nice person with a big heart but her parenting choices make me not want to spend less and less time with her.

I had a puppy that lived for 14 weeks before she died of Parvo. My husband and I were heartbroken. I miss her so much. I still look at her pictures on my phone from time to time. It probably sounds silly to a lot of people. but thinking of her still makes me cry.

I have a friend on facebook who is ridiculously narcissistic. The only thing that she ever posts are rampages about how much money she has, how many 'bitches' are jealous of her, who is real and who is fake, pictures of expensive belongings, and selfie videos and pictures. I get so tired so seeing her stupid posts and twisted, arrogant philosophy. She claims that her bravado is not cockiness...simply confidence. And she was surprised when she had a few of her belongings stolen. Well--guess what? That's what happens when you advertise your so-called wealth to thousands of strangers on facebook! I'd really like to remove her, but can't find the heart. Our mothers were really close and we grew up together as best friends.
