I don't mind seeing positive stuff on social media, like vacation photos. What I hate seeing are posts that are passive aggressively aimed at the person's spouse. Like, 'tell her you love her or you'll lose her' type stuff. Maybe get the fuck off of Facebook and have a conversation with your partner instead of hoping they'll read your lame meme. I like vacation pics, though. Reminds me to schedule one for me.

When I go on vacation I find it very annoying when people want to stop and snap a hundred photos of everything. I feel sometimes like they're not really savoring the moment but instead thinking "Oh, this will look great on my Instagram/Facebook page!" and are too busy coming up with clever taglines and sayings. I just want to be in the moment. I don't even take my cell phohe with me at all times! GASP! I know! I still remember a time when you didn't have to have your phone with you everywhere you went! I just want to enjoy my time. Try reading a book.

I have a friend in real life and on Facebook. We have two different belief systems. She leans Right, I lean Left. As much shit she talks about immigrants (I’m Latina) and how they suck up American jobs, I’m the only one she comes to when she needs to borrow money. She always pays me back but I loan it out without that expectation. It’s not frequent and it’s usually no more than 20-40$. Although this time around it’s $80 and she pushed payback date a month. It’s not about the money for me, IDC if she pays me back. I just think it’s funny she comes to me, a child of immigrant parents who never used social services like she and her family has.

It’s 4:30 a.m. I’ve been up for 45 minutes and tossing and turning all night. Step-daughter totally ignored me for Mother’s Day. No call, no text, but she got on Facebook to say it to her MIL, SIL, aunts, daughter, and all her friends. I had a houseful of company and have been on the verge of tears since 6 p.m last night. I’m debating about writing her a letter and just leaving it alone. BTW, I’m not a ‘leave it alone’ type of person.

I have got to stop getting so damn mad when I lose at board games and Facebook games. I get so crabby when I lose that I forget that it's just a game.

I find social media exhausting. I follow a few friends on family on Instagram but I have deleted about 90% of the rest. Why? Because it's endless selfies and me me me me me bullshit. Everyone seems to think they are going to be the next 'influencer' or that their marketing business is going to take off and make them rich. No, Karen, you're boring and aggressive and annoying. And Facebook too. If I see or hear "blessed" anything or passive aggressive quotes or endless selfies I hide or block. Seriously, most people are stuck t the emotional age of 13.

Our schools are closed on Good Friday and the Monday after Easter. This has been on the freakin' school calendar all year. It's been on every weekly newsletter the school has sent out for the last two months. But there are a bunch of parents on our school Facebook page who are pissed off because they didn't know schools were closed on Monday. Seriously? Do you want them to send a singing telegram to your house? So many bitching about, "But I'm busy. I work." Yada, yada, yada. We're all, busy, Karen. And I work too. I knew about it all year.

I cannot stand facebook videos. Can we not just read what you're trying to say instead of watching a 30 year long video of you dicking around and losing track of the point 498 times? I feel a bit like Princess Bride. "Skip to the end!"

I can't believe how much the online Trump troll activity has increased lately. I check my two local news Facebook pages daily and the trolls are rampant. Worse than usual. I report them, and all their comments, but there are so many now. It's like playing whack-a-troll. At least the fake pages are easy to spot.

Sometimes I go on facebook and just wonder to myself if these people suffered some sort of brain injury since I knew them in high school.
