It was my second time lasting out with an emotional outburst towards my (new) coworker in the past month. Ugh, I don't know if anyone noticed, but us. I seriously wonder if I need to get some help. Clearly, I felt triggered logging in all this OT, anxiety about whether the event is running smoothly and maybe I have a hard time controlling my emotions under pressure. I do have depression and PTSD which can throw off my ability to self-regulate my thoughts, feelings, behavior.

I posted a long while ago about how I ran into my exdh's sister, and she told me he was dying. She also said, "He wants you to know that he forgives you." I didn't know what she was talking about, but it wasn't the time or place to ask. Last year I was going through old papers and found our divorce papers. I now understood. He was mentally, verbally, emotionally and financially abusive to me. I asked for a divorce, but he's the one who filed. In his filing,he said that *I* subjected *him* to "extreme mental cruelty." But I just let it go because I was going to be moving cross country and would never see him again. BUT THEN I discovered that he'd closed our bank accounts, so I couldn't move, and a job op has kept me here. I see his sister here and there and hope that maybe one day I can set the record straight. Though I'm not sure she would believe me.

Probably. The spirit world has a sick sense of humor sometimes. Could be a sign that you've released it, now let it go, or you're going to keep emotionally flying yourself into a windshield.

Demeaning a partner is verbal/emotional abuse. Deliberately making your partner feel unworthy is emotional abuse. It's normal to argue with your partner, but one partner yelling to berate/frighten/overpower their partner is abusive. Kindly stfu and stop spreading bullshit about a subject you obviously know absolutely nothing about. Not only is it dead wrong, it's dangerous to misinform people about something as serious as abuse by an intimate partner. (Side note: the OP who said that abuse victims normalize abuse is spot on.)

Newtruu, the onus isn't on me to give a fuck about the "place" these comments are coming from. Whatever twisted emotional problems someone is having isn't my problem or concern when I'm being verbally attacked. But sure. Next time someone asks if my husband is a pedophile, I'll just flip my hair and call them jealous. Cool cool cool.

My soon-to-be ex dh was like this too. Saw the bad in any situation, always looking for and expecting the worst outcome. You're right, it is very emotionally draining, especially when it's all the time. Crabby and unpleasant. This is why he will be my ex dh very soon. I couldn't take it anymore.

I'm the op of the original INFJ confession. I never meant that I emotionally detach. I don't. I remember everything and still feel emotions towards my ex. I just have never experienced a breakup where I've not been able to move on, and beat myself up over the 'what might have beens.' I was devastated when I split with my ex, but it was also like, this sucks, I'm sad, time to move on. I even told my husband, who I love more than life itself, "If we split, I'll be sad, but I'll also get over it." It's not like with the INFJ door slam, where there absolutely is detachment/disassociation. Maybe it's just my perspective that's weird. I'm attached to my husband, but my self worth is not attached to my marriage.

I’m the OP of dream about ex and being INFJ. I wasn’t trying to make it seem like I’m psychic. I meant to emphasize that being an INFJ doesn’t mean that I forget about people and decide to detach emotionally. I’m the INFJ who cannot forget all the past hurts and exes. Maybe it’s because I’m also one of those Extra Sensitive People.

I'm sure you know this, but don't hesitate to report the dad to the authorities. Do what you can and then set a hard boundary. She will, most likely, never leave her husband. I'm just saying this so you can prepare yourself emotionally when she stays with him, even if it endangers her child. You have to think of your other students, too. If he's abusing them, this isn't the right school, regardless of how much his dad paid to send him there; regardless of how much you could potentially help him. What a difficult situation. Keep us posted.

I find social media exhausting. I follow a few friends on family on Instagram but I have deleted about 90% of the rest. Why? Because it's endless selfies and me me me me me bullshit. Everyone seems to think they are going to be the next 'influencer' or that their marketing business is going to take off and make them rich. No, Karen, you're boring and aggressive and annoying. And Facebook too. If I see or hear "blessed" anything or passive aggressive quotes or endless selfies I hide or block. Seriously, most people are stuck t the emotional age of 13.
