Homosexuals and feminists are not "fringe." MOST women consider themselves feminists according to a Washington Post study (70%). A Gallup poll found that nearly 9 million Americans are gay, roughly the population of New Jersey. The only reason people THINK they are fringe is because they are so underrepresented in politics. If you look at Congress, you would think that anything other than old white man is a fringe in this country.

I'm in northern Indiana and it's the same here. Trumpies here will complain about his policies, his tweets, about being screwed on their taxes, and in the same breath they'll say something about the socialist lubruhls and how Trump is going to win in 2020 because he's making America great again. More tales of the overspending husband: A couple weeks ago I went to a Native American Pow-Wow. I go to these often and like to purchase unique, handmade items, sometimes made with animal pelts. This time I bought a quiver (it holds arrows) made from a fox. Dh looks at the arrows and says, "Oh! Those have target practice heads! I'll buy you some broadheads!" Seriously?! Um, notice that I don't have nor did I buy a bow? That's because I'm not going to be out in the woods, hunting. It's for my collection, display only. Last night he came home from a business trip. He likes to bring us little trinkets, maybe a cool coffee cup or a snack unique to the region, and the dog always gets a biscuit. He proudly showed me the new harness he got the dog. I think of myself as liberal and open, but when it comes to myself, I am more hesitant. Like, I embrace fluidity in sexual preference, I've experimented with women (very very little) but being with a bi guy, or bi-curious guy makes me uncomfortable. This guy I've been with, (not american) who comes off as conservative-ish, mentioned passing interest in men, and I was like sure. Last night he mentioned he watches gay porn, but "only a few seconds" before he turns it off. I mean, I totally get the curiosity. (I wonder how long he *really* watches it) I'm glad he is comfortable to tell me. I watch lesbian porn. But man, I also have weird jealousy-like feelings that are swimming around in the pit of my stomach.

In a nutshell, many, many people in America are fucking stupid about serious issues that require an ounce of critical thinking, mostly because they've had it ingrained in their minds that it'll make them a lubruhl.

I have a friend in real life and on Facebook. We have two different belief systems. She leans Right, I lean Left. As much shit she talks about immigrants (I’m Latina) and how they suck up American jobs, I’m the only one she comes to when she needs to borrow money. She always pays me back but I loan it out without that expectation. It’s not frequent and it’s usually no more than 20-40$. Although this time around it’s $80 and she pushed payback date a month. It’s not about the money for me, IDC if she pays me back. I just think it’s funny she comes to me, a child of immigrant parents who never used social services like she and her family has.

Sure, guns have been around forever; however, our society has changed and the forefathers who wrote the constitution never intended it to apply to a world 200 years in the future. Not to be rude, but no fucking shit guns have existed for centuries. Doesn't mean we, as a society, don't need new laws to govern the people who clearly shouldn't own them. The parents of every single child who gets ahold of their gun should be in prison. Anyone convicted of domestic violence (a misdemeanor in many states, because, you know, beating your partner ain't no big deal) should not be allowed to own a gun. There are common sense laws that need to be passed. Also, the research has already been done as to why gun violence is a huge societal issue in America. The data has been out for years. There are dozens of sociological studies available via the Google machine. We know why this keeps happenig. Pass the fucking laws.
