If God is so perfect, why do Christians hate gay people? Their gay child? Doesn't God make perfect things(beings)? How dare a parent disown their child for being gay. That's the ultimate sin.

So my cousin (he's 19) came out as gay recently. I found out that he was kicked out of my aunt and uncle's house because of it. They no longer talk to him. They act like he doesn't exist anymore. They have a total of 11 kids and they're super religious (my uncle is a pastor at a church). It's almost like they just threw him away as a kid...like, we have 10 kids now instead of 11. Oh well. That one was "messed up" anyway. It really bothers me. I've been reaching out to my cousin and letting him know he can always come to me if he needs to talk or needs anything. I feel awful for him. And the way my "Christian" aunt and uncle are acting about it really, really pisses me off.

A co-worker of mine is constantly asking for monetary donations for her kids because they're missionaries. I'm a Christian, but I don't believe in being a missionary, so I never donate. Well, crazy pants co-worker cornered me the other day to preach about spreading the word of God. I told her I believe that people are allowed to worship whoever/however they want, and printed off a bunch of info on cultural genocide and left it on her desk. I hate that's she's like that, but I really hate that she assumes that just because I believe in God that I'm ok with stealing away a group's culture. Here's some water, now memorize this bible verse! Not cool.

I never said I thought I was a sweet person. I said everyone else thinks that....and I am nice to people which is why they think that. I called myself out. Someone commented about attention seeking...so what? I get plenty of positive attention. I never get negative attention. It was an interesting change. I'm tired of being seen as a goody two shoes, because I'm not one. As far as attention seeking goes, anyone who posts or even speaks is seeking attention. Hating all religion isn't racist, genius. Not all people of certain races practice certain religions. Wait, my bad. All people with brown skin who hail from Islamic nations are Muslim. All white Americans are Christian. Cool. Got it. I thought people got to choose their religion. I didn't know skin color dictated that.

I live in a state where pretty much everyone is religious and a Christian. Everyone I know is one. Family, friends and acquaintances like to tell me that it was "God's will" that my husband cheated on me, gave me an STD that caused me to have a stillbirth (but paid for himself and the other woman to be treated for the STD) and burned down the house with everything I owned inside because he was trying to "kill himself" from the guilt (but didn't actually stay inside the house). He did not get prison because he "suffered enough". He is married to the other woman now and they have a child. I get told that God has a plan for everyone, that it is his will and that God is just testing me. Well if God is that much of an asshole that he punishes someone who has never hurt anyone and tried her best to be good to others, and he rewards a man like my ex-husband, than he is not a God I am going to worship. Not my God. Oh, and I get urge to "forgive" them both for God's grace. Ha ha ha ha. Nope.

yep, someone doesn't have to be a card-carrying member of the KKK to be a racist. i know several people like this. they pay lip service about how accepting they are of people's differences but would have a huge problem with a black family moving into their neighborhood or a mosque being built in their city or if their child dated anyone who wasn't white or Christian. but they think they're the bastion of tolerance because they occasionally make small talk with the Latino janitor at work.

Fox News is reporting in depth lots of stories that aren't being covered by CNN, NBC, ABC or CBS. They are featuring experts. Christian Broadcasting Network has some coverage that is different too, I watch the first 15 minutes of 700 Club just for the news. If you want to know what's really going on and what your vote will do, you need to be watching Fox and CBN. Okay, don't. You may wish you had.

I've been wanting to get closer to family for some reason, so I friended my parents on facebook. My mother keeps posting all of this brainwashed right wing propoganda, with a lot of it about abortions. I'm half tempted to tell her about mine and ask if her loving Christian self is still proud of her daughter. But though a part of me actually does want to break away from my family, I don't think I'm ready to be banished.

Yeah. The funniest thing is that my uber-religious inlaws are voting for Trump because "he's a Christian who is pro life". Um, WHAT??? I just do not get it.
