I think it's pretty damn immature to have to crap on someone else's hobby when you're speaking about your own. Like, oh my God, Becky. Cookbooks? Gag me with a spoon! They're so cliché! No offense, though.

I collect retro cookbooks I get from rummage sales or thrift stores. I love to look at them even I know I'll probably never make anything in them.

Gag. All romance novels just make my head hurt because they're usually either cliched, sappy, or both. No offense to anyone who likes it, but it's just not my genre. I'll admit this though...when I want to destress, I read cookbooks. I know, really strange, but it soothes me somehow.

Presently reading Pamela Browning's Keeping Secrets series. https://www.amazon.com/Ever-Since-Keepin... Love it! They are short romantic stories with good plots. Also I like Emily Sue Harvey's books about relationships. I don't consider most romances trashy and I don't think 50 Shades books are romances. They're sick.

Maybe this is why it's all over the place for each person? "Publicly owned hospitals aren't legally allowed to maintain a policy of spousal consent for sterilization, but private hospitals are. Despite the illegality of spousal consent policies at public hospitals, doctors may still refuse to perform a procedure, especially if the woman requesting it is young or has not yet had children. Although most states no longer have spousal consent laws on the books & any remaining laws may be unconstitutional, sterilization is still difficult to access in a number of states because of other regulations. Some states require waiting periods before a tubal ligation may be performed. Others protect doctors and hospitals from being forced to perform the procedure against their judgment. A doctor or hospital determined to obtain spousal consent before performing a tubal ligation might be protected under these laws, but courts have repeatedly found that tubal ligation doesn't require spousal consent."

Ugh, my exh had another better paying job lined up to take right after we had our hearing about child support. He tried to screw me big time by trying to get his child support payment lowered to $450 a month. The state worksheet calculated it to be $710, my lawyer said in court we'd accept $600 and the judge told my ex he had to pay $625. We get his paycheck garnished and not even one full month's payment in he quit his job at Home Depot to go work for some fracking company. All evidence says he started there mid December so maybe he worked both jobs for a bit. He refuses to supply pay stubs so we can garnish his new paycheck which leads me to believe he is making significantly more than he was before. He's trying to claim he works under the table...but he has face timed ds4 from work...it's a big company and whatever he does definitely requires training...no way he could get away with being off the books.thats way too big of a liability to the company. He's now 4 months behind.

Nursing school tuition for the year was approximately $10,000 + books and other supplies like scrubs, stethoscope, shoes, parking for clinicals. It all adds up. Dh and could have completely put our lives on hold while I was in school, but we chose not to so yes, at the moment we live paycheck to paycheck. It's not a big deal to us. We're not poor and we don't pretend we are. Why should we not use our money to enjoy life to its fullest?

Well if they belonged to someone else, what I'd do is smudge them with a sage stick to get rid of any energies attached to them. (I also do this with things I buy from yard sales or antiques stores, as well as library books.) Sleep with them under your pillow for a few days so they can connect to your energy.

I started reading tarot when I was a kid and was taught by my mom and aunt. I also remember getting books from the library. I bet there's YouTube videos on the basics.

Relationships

After being in relationships for 30 years, no breaks, I have taken 3 years off. And honestly? At 48, I'm thinking of staying single the rest of my life. I make a decent income, have insurance and retirement savings, a cute perfectly small place to live, pets, wonderful family and friends, lots of books to read. I kinda feel like I should want to get married again but I am really enjoying my life right now.
