I think it's sad that the DH was so worried about a hospital bill; shows the sad state of affairs this nation is in. I don't doubt DH was absolutely caring about his wife's well being, I know he was. But a hospital bill can really ruin your life moreso than the illness! I also think it's sad that someone can't go to med school (even though it may not have been their dream) because they can't afford it. Med school ain't cheap regardless, I get it, but it is a lot of people's dreams and they can't make it happen because of cost. Not everyone can get grants, scholarships, or work their way through college.

Well, after many calculations...I don't think med school is the right thing for me to do right now. I don't even know if I would've been accepted, but if I were to go, it'd cost us something like $200K. I may or may not make enough to pay it back before I retire, so yeah. I am, however, going back to school. I've decided to follow my dreams of working with animals and become a vet tech! Most of my BS credits transfer over and I just have to do the hands-on stuff. Tuition is 1/10th the price and jobs are all over the place for when I graduate. I start in the fall and I am SO freakin excited!!

I've been having sexy dreams about my exH. We've been divorced for almost 30 years and I have no feelings for him whatsoever. But I dream of all the wild and crazy things we did, then I wake up guilty. We were horny teenagers, and divorced after only three years, but I need to forget about the hot sex like I have everything else!

My dreams are very realistic, long, and detailed. In my dream about the man I've wanted for 11 years, he had his arms around me and I had my hands on his arms and under his shirt. His skin was soft, a little padded, a little like a peach. Even the skin on his 6 pack was peachy. When I woke up and thought about it, I realized my mind had dredged up that tactile memory about one of my exes. Yikes!

I believe a lot of people are capable of pulling a bait and switch on anyone. I was deal this blow by an ex and didn't even realize how controlling he was until I moved across the country for him, giving up everything for him (my job, my college dreams, friends, etc.), after he got where he wanted me everything about him changed and these people who pull the bait and switch are so sneaky and manipulative and put on a good show that we don't see their true colors until it's too late. People don't change, their mask just falls off.

We moved to other side of the country about 3 years ago. We visited family back home a year and a half ago. We are going to visit family this Christmas and both mine and DH's family wanted to know what DS wanted. DS is 8 and told family he wants books. Our families are not happy with that answer and are trying convince me he needs remote control cars, sports gear, legos and all the typical 8 year old boy gifts. I have tried to explain to them he just doesn't like those things and is an avid reader. He is 8 and reads on a 6th grade reading level. He reads through books very quickly so he is always looking for more things to read. Right now he has over a 100 books and he dreams of having a big library. It is so irritating to think family gets irritated when a child doesn't' ask for big things and bunch of useless things and they can't accept he just likes to read. It is also irritating that they think they know what he should want when they have only seen him once in 3 years.

I was married fairly young to a man 10 years older. He was very controlling (this behavior came out after the wedding) and treated me like a child, incapable of doing anything. I finally left after 4 years. I gave him the house (because there was so little equity), the car, and all the furniture that I paid for, walked away with only my 25K bank account. This was 18 years ago. It was a long time before I remembered that he'd been squirreling away money. I was just too young, naïve, scared of the divorce process to think about it. In our state I would have been entitled to half. I was dozing off for a nap one day and had a weird thought - that he was dying and wanted to make amends, so he was giving me 100K. Through fb creeping, I discovered that he is, in fact, dying. The amount he hid was roughly 200K. I HAVE had precognitive thoughts/dreams before, so I wonder...

So my totally pie-in-the-sky dream which I know will never happen (and I don't really want it to happen but it's nice to dream about), is moving to Costa Rica and opening an animal rescue and rehabilitation centre. I am obsessed with sloths, kinkajous and tamandua anteaters. In reality I know would hate the isolation of living in the middle of the rainforest with probably really shitty internet connection, and probably cut off from much of the world during the rainy season, I'm not so great with insects either, and the heat would probably get to me. It's still fun to idly daydream about though. Does anyone else have crazy dreams like that, that they don't "really" want but maybe in another life would love?

My sil just had her 1st baby in July. She just went back to work this week. She is so sad about it. My mom is there helping her and my brother take care of the baby since she's retired. She waited a long time to have a baby. She went to school to be an RN & Nurse Practitioner. She told me when I met her she never thought she'd find the guy of her dreams until she met my brother. I feel so bad for her. I hope she'll be ok. They live in Tennessee. I live in California. Wish I could help more.... I'm going to win the powerball tonight! :)
