I was the same way, until I got plantar fasciitis. That sidelined my daily runs, plus it took forever to heal. Do yourself a favor and let your body have a day or two to rest every week. That's what I do now, I just eat less those days. Otherwise you could injure yourself and be stuck doimg nothing.

Well, he's only 14mths old so he doesn't 'have' to stop. You only have to stop if you want to. If you don't want to then keep feeding him. There's a lovely book called Nursies While The Sun Shines that is meant to help toddlers night wean. You can also put bandaids or something bitter on your nipples. He wont not drink anything else forever, he may get a little dehydrated in the short term but he'll come around and start drinking other fluids.

I've had a small gap between my two front teeth bonded closed since I was 15yrs old. I'm 42 now. And last night - the bonding broke. Thank you, corn on the cob. So the bonding is gone and I'm looking at my gappy smile, and I'm like, "That's not so bad. Huh." So I showed my DD18 and she was all, "OMG, Mom! You've got the 'London Look'!" So this morning I went to the dentist and had him make sure all the bits of bonding were gone from my teeth and I will now forever have a gap-toothed grin. And you know what? I kinda really like it!

I'm pretty stoked because DS22 just got hired in at a new better paying job, DD18 has an interview on Friday (and another very likely job prospect as well) and DH just found out about a job opening that would be absolutely perfect for him. He's not unhappy at his job, but it's pretty labor intensive and with his health history- he can't do that forever. This one would be much better in that regard, and it's so close he could literally walk to work. For approx the same wages and hours. Also both the kids are getting ready to sign up for fall classes at the local community college and they both qualify for decent financial aid. Good things!

Serious question here: do you think there are people that keep their house "clean" but not "tidy"..?? Like, stuff all over the place, mail, stuff, clutter, stuff like that... but baseboards are clean and the floor and toilet and stuff are all bright and shiny clean. I'm curious. We all choose what we spend our time on. My floors haven't been scrubbed in forever but my kitchen table has nothing on it but a plant and some candlesticks. KWIM? What constitutes a mess to you? I have time for either clean or tidy. I don't have time for both. And I wish I had money for a cleaning service but I don't. So "clean" goes on the back burner and I settle for "tidy".

I was out doing some hiking in the woods south of where I usually hike. They have Lone Star ticks in that forest and one of them bit me. Then I found out that they transmit a disease called alpha-gal. It makes you allergic to all mammalian meat forever. No more beef or pork or goat or lamb! They say it's really rare to get it after being bit, but one of our hiking guides has it because she was bitten by one of those ticks. Now I am paranoid and I'm not sure I want to see if I can eat bacon and beef anymore or not.

All throughout my late teens and my early 20s, every man I was ever interested in was either A. completely uninterested or B. interested only so he could treat me like a piece of shit, manipulate and emotionally abuse me. So now I've fallen into the trap of always going for "safe" guys who are far more into me than I am into them. I'm doing a lot of therapy work and have just come to this realisation, even though it's completely obvious now I've realised the pattern. And I think I'd rather be single forever than be in a relationship with someone I don't really love. Kinda in limbo and scared of the future right now.

It takes me forever to make a decision and then when I finally do because I'm sick of procrastinating and I just want it to be done and over, it ends up being the wrong decision. I waited months to choose the right area rug for my living room. I finally found one that I liked and brought home a swatch. A few weeks later I returned the swatch. Then a couple months I brought home the same swatch and another one in a different color. A week later I ordered the extremely expensive rug. When it arrived I tried convincing myself I liked it, and now it's too late to return it and I don't really like it. FML

OP here.. I've lived in the same place my whole life. My mom homeschooled me and didn't allow friends because their parents might have been pedophiles or mass murderers, or worse- i might like them more than I liked her. Everyone here has known me forever, but they expect me to be a different person than who I am. And everyone is very closed minded, so its hard to find anywhere I fit in. I mean, I have my dh, but I would love a close girl friend. Someone to enjoy fandoms and stuff with. Ah well. Maybe one day we will move.

What is Wrong with You

This is one of the things that is wrong with me... I have this elaborate fantasy going on in my head about this man I meet and we click and he asks me out on a date and we end up having this wonderful life together. I have a name and a description of what he looks like. We've talked about where we were born and raised, and we were both married and had children, and now we're both divorced. I know what area of town he lives in and his occupation. We like exercising and eating healthy, and we enjoy similar interests and hobbies, but we both like our alone time too. Neither of us want to get married again, but we want to be life partners. I can't seem to get this scenario out of my head. It's what I want to happen IRL, but I'm actually afraid I'll be alone forever. I'm sure I need therapy of some sort. I feel mentally sound, but maybe I'm not. I am heartbroken for certain, and this stupid fantasy gives me comfort.
