I have to sit through my coworker's bridal shower party tomorrow while I'm still heartbroken. :(

A year ago, I miscarried. It was a chemical pregnancy and even though to some itn"doesnt count " to me,it DID. I knew,I knew for a week I was pregnant and was scared and stressed yet when I lost the pregnancy.all I could feel.was sadness. I got pregnant again two months later and had my son at the end of the year. He's a healthy, chubby boy who i love so much but there is still that sad ache in my heart for the baby I lost. Even now, a year later I can't think back without feeling guilty and sadness.

Doing well at my caregiver job. It's hard work, but I love the residents. They all either have dementia or alzheimers. You definitely don't do this job for the money. I only make $12.75 and hour. You do this job because you have compassion for the elderly. To think, it took that guy breaking my heartin January to find my calling. That guy has tried to get in touch with me 3 times. Ha! Never! I do have a "soft" offer for a state job, but I'll still do caregiving. I know some of you have prayed for me and my situation and I thank you so much!

My son is 16. I am so happy for him- he told me today that he's falling in love. He's been sitting next to this girl in History class, and she's the prettiest girl in school. I've seen her. She is! Every day he tells me about their conversations. He tells me if he makes her laugh, or if she says something interesting. I admit I've been worried that he is going to get his heart broken, and he might, but today she gave him her number without him even asking, and she asked him to send her a playlist. I know this is regular stuff that teenagers experience, but my kid has autism. When he was little, I didn't know if he was going to grow up to have friends, or be in regular classes, but he is and he does. My heart is so full! :)

My dad, who recently lost his house and moved into an apartment told DH something today that DH says broke his heart. He said this winter, since we’ll be in Florida, he may just take the bus to the grocery store because it might be hard walking from his car in the snow (something he’s been doing for 65 years). We’ve invited him to come to Florida with us, we’ve even offered to help him buy a place of his own in Florida and he’s always declined. We have done everything under the sun for him, and we’ve both done it with no regret or hard feelings. But, damn it, I NEED to go to Florida or I’ll go freakin’ crazy! I hate to say it, but I think dear old Dad is playing us.

I'm 48. My dad passed last night. I've dealt with relatives passing, but nothing like this. He wasn't even my biological dad. He was my stepdad and him and my mom have been divorced for 30+ years. He always kept in touch with my sister and I, and we have all been close to his wife for years, even my mom. Just sad. How will I go on? I saw him last night and he passed a few hours later. We all knew it was coming though, but still. He parented me and my sis out of love. Always. One of the only men in my life who was never ever mean to me. He had a heart of gold. I love you Henry. I will honor and cherish our memories forever. RIP.....

There's a common theme here in the last few confessions - sneaky, lying husbands. It's scary and disheartening. This is why, once I divorce this cad I'm married to, I probably won't get into a relationship at all again. I'm in my 50s, and the only man I've ever been with who DIDN'T lie was my first husband - but he was an ogre in his own way.

Last weekend, I went to visit my parents at the home I grew up in. I was cleaning out old files. I saw a folder titled Self Care and with printed articles on how to love and nurture my body, body acceptance quotes. This was from 10 years ago. It breaks my heart that to this day I still struggle with accepting, loving myself, healthy eating, or setting boundaries. I can't wait another 10 years. This work needs to happen now.

2/2 We had a family locator app then, and one night I noticed he was in a nearby city after work. It didn't show him at his hotel until the next morning, at the exact moment he called me. I figured the guys all went out, his phone died & he just put it on charge when he got back until the next morning. Turns out this woman lives in that city. He had told me she was a friend of other local friends they'd made, but funnily, she wasn't FB friends with them hmmm. 4. The one that tore my heart out, the ultimate betrayal. MY former friend of 30 years. The one he started an emotional affair with while we were engaged, that I didn't discover until after we were married. He swore on his kids that he'd never speak to her again. Ladies, I am sleeping with the devil. I'm sick to my stomach. I can't leave just yet. I'm not letting him know I know. I'm taking this fucker to the cleaners.

A good diet will create a strong immune system. A stronger immune system will allow you to more effectively and more efficiently fight off bacteria and other things. Just because you have a genetic predisposition to certain diseases, does not mean you will get them. In fact, people who have genetic risk factors are exactly the people who should live a healthy lifestyle. Heart disease, diabetes, and cancer all have genetic components. The risks of contracting any of those diseases is greatly reduced by eating and living well. There are numerous studies to support that.
