Obama is a Muslim, and Trump is a Christian. /sarcasm/

I would be more likely to vote for an atheist childfree president than someone who claims to be a family oriented Christian. Usually, the louder someone is about their morals, the fewer they actually have. What political candidate in their right mind would lie about being atheist and cf? That kind of honesty would be sudden death for a candidate because Americans have historically fallen for the fake, smiling, Christian facades of politicians.

Personally, I think presidential candidates shouldn't practice any religion at all. Religious views are so subjective anyway. There's no point in giving a shit. I'm often disappointed when I find out a person believes in some ridiculous nonsense. There is no good way to represent a religion. You're either a radical nut job or a phony, choosing only the aspects of a religion that suit you. Neither of those are trustworthy qualities. Does anyone REALLY think politicians have religious faith of any kind? GMAFB! We have "Christian" presidents because idiots think "God fearing" is synonymous with being a good person. I want an atheist, or at least agnostic president. Obama being "Christian" as opposed to Muslim does nothing for me. He's just another phony like all of them are. I don't think he believes in any of it. The existence of religion annoys me beyond....belief. Ha.

I'm curious why it matters if Obama is Muslim. I know plenty of Christians who aren't in the KKK. And I of the Muslims I know, none of them are terrorists. If Obama had any kind of ties with an extremist group, wouldn't the US have suffered some 9/11 scale terrorist attacks by now?

And your point would be what, exactly? For one thing, just because someone is a Muslim doesn't make them a bad person. There are good and shitty people from each religion out there- Westboro Baptist Church is a good example of shitty Christians. Secondly, no one has ever changed their religion ever, have they? I'd say a majority of children out there are going to follow the religion of one or both parents because that's the religion that they know. That doesn't mean they can't change once they learn more about the world and its many religions. And lastly, did you ever think that maybe some past presidents didn't practice the religion that they said they did? Maybe they said they were X so that they would get more votes? WND is radically right-wing so I'm going to take that link you posted with a grain of salt.

Wasn't he raised in Hawaii by his Christian grandmother? I'm not trying to get into this fight, but there are enough troubling truths about politicians that I don't see why some need to resort to saying something they heard from their mother's cousin's ex-boyfriend's sister's brother.

So...a little tangent here. What is the deal with so many Republicans thinking Obama is Muslim and the Antichrist? Last I checked, he and his family were Christians. I never did get why so many people chose to believe that he was this horrible terrorist-friendly person.

Hillary is a Christian. Christians are bad. Therefore Hillary must be bad.

The Amish claim to be Christian but, in reality, they do their own thing. I know three Amish people personally and also several people who left the Amish community, one who left specifically because elders in the church are the ones who are essentially worshipped. They claim to be Christian but Christ is not central to their belief system.

It's the Christian Extremists that are hard to like. Whatever happened to keeping your religious views to yourself anyway.
