My mom is the type of person who bitches nonstop. Privately at home and out in public. We're out at a restaurant? She'll gasp and smile awkwardly. Wow, long wait huh? Yeah we've been waiting a long time. Oh a patio table? It's so cold out here! The wind is bothering me too. Do you have any indoor tables? Oh no we don't want to wait for an indoor table, we already waited a long time. You should hire more staff. Your appetizers are $10? That's too much! Do you have hot tea? Oh no I don't like teabags. No ice water it's too cold. Wow your water is too cold. These plates are too big... Omg stfu mom they don't care and i don't want to eat spit food and no wonder no one ever calls you, you're miserable company!!!! Gaaaargh!!!!!

I was watching some documentary about people who go to 3-Michelin star restaurants and drop $5000 a plate on a dinner there. I am sorry, but no food is worth that much. I could buy a decent used car for that kind of money. I've had damn good food that I've spent $70 or $80 a plate on at "nice" restaurants and that's about my limit. I can't imagine routinely spending $1000+ a meal at restaurants as a hobby. Crazy.

There's really only one thing that bugs me about someone's eating choices, and that's when someone is travelling and they purposely order a dish from another region just to bitch about it. Lemme 'splain. I live up north, near Chicago. Whenever my family visits from the south, they order stuff like Cuban sandwiches (from fucking KROGER) and muffaletta sandwiches from a crappy chain restaurant. Then they bitch about how unauthentic they are. Well, no shit! And they do it literally every time they come here. Why??? We have great restaurants here and THIS is what they choose. I guess it makes them feel high and mighty, but why waste the money?

My ILs insist we pray out loud when we eat at restaurants. It's super awkward.

I used to be a fan of Louis C.K. Then my brother told me that Louis and some of his friends ate at the restaurant where my brother's a chef (it's a really nice restaurant). He treated the waiter like crap and left a really, really nasty note for my brother and the other chef. I have lost all respect for Louis C.K. after that. No one gets away with treating my baby brother like that!

Here's a new one: Client writes checks to vendors, but has no intention of ever actually sending them to the vendor. SO .. the month he writes the check I record an expense. Four months later.. the checks are still outstanding. So I ask him: did you mail those checks? "No, they're still in my desk drawer." So I ask him: are you going to mail them, are they ever going to clear? "Probably not" .... *blinkblink* So I ask him: why did you write them? "Well, we owe those vendors money. So I wrote the checks." .. but you're not going to send them? "No, I don't have any money in the account." .. O. M. GAAAWWWWDDD!!!!! Jesus H. Christ on a pogo stick! Close your business. Just close it. No one eats at your grimy restaurant except your giant greasy family anyway. And they eat free, so...... yeah. *thumbs up* Guy's got about as much business a-cumin as Chief Cheetos.

I feel really terribly sorry for kids who are obese. I live in a kinda poor area and lots of restaurants here are of the fast food variety. I saw a little girl the other day who looked like a Michelin man and she was drinking a big 32 ounce soda. No child should drink that much sugar.

Look, if you aren't going to be mad at the American employer employing workers illegally, then don't be mad at all. Because the AE is the one making it easy for the workers to come here and work. And if you truly cared about "illegals" being illegal, I hope you are not hiring your gardener without vetting him and his citizenship status, or patronizing restaurants and making sure all employees are US born citizens, or going to schools and making sure all students aren't undocumented..do something about all this, stop bitching about it all. A friend has been getting in a lot of FB debates today. but she puts words in peoples mouths, talks down to people, and makes demands of people. I wrote about her before. I'm kind of laughing at her because she's claiming that she eats nothing but 100% organic and buys all organic. I didn't know Dominos pizza, Wendys food, and krispy kremes was all organic. She also eats out at restaurants about 70% of the time, and they're not the organic serving types of restaurants. She forgets people know her IRL.

We went out alone for the first time in 8 months to to celebrate our 7th anniversary to what was supposed to be a 5 star restaurant. Worst experience, worst service, and worst food ever. My dh was so upset he even complained to the manager, which he never does. Then we get home, and my mom is insisting on spending the night (she watched the kids), to which we promptly told her "please, no", at which point she sent her ride home without her and stayed anyway. So now on top of a horrible and expensive dinner, my dh is angry because of my mom and her ability to make herself 100% unwanted. I'm pretty angry with her also. So tired of dealing with stupidity. We just wanted a nice night out. Apparently, those are pretty much non-existent.
