After week 1 of the reverse diet: Up to 1450 calories a day and haven't changed my exercise at all. Weight: I am up 0.1 lb from last week. Plus my period's coming so it might not even be that much. I'm hoping this works out for me. My clothes all still fit so fingers crossed.

Do any of you know of anything to take for perimenopause symptoms? I am moody, irritable, gaining weight and tired as heck. I need help!

I would love to have 1360 or 1400 calories a day for maintenance. If I eat more than 1200, I gain weight. If I ate 1400 calories a day, I'd weight 200 pounds. And I'm only 5'1.

I've got to fix my metabolism. I am planning a reverse diet for the next few months and hope that does the trick. I'm sick of maintaining my weight on 1400 calories a day and if I can get away with 1800 without gaining much, I'll be one happy camper.

I hit my 10 pound mark! I think I was 8 down in time for my vacation, where I definitely didn't lose weight. :) I've been back for 4 weeks, and I haven't counted calories in that time, but I am still slowly losing weight. I think my generally slow weight gain comes from parties, where I often drink and munch on junk food - neither of which I do at home. Also, I do occasionally pig out at home (usually on salad or soups, but I eat like 4-5 servings), but with shelter in place I'm a lot more careful about stress eating. I'm trying only go to the store once every two weeks, and have a farm box delivered once a week. It probably helps that running and yoga are some of my favorite ways to deal with stress.

Okay, I'm gonna be the one to say it. I haven't taken a normal shit in three weeks. My stomach is F*CKED due to stress from all this. And I'm really worried because I know I'm not getting all my nutrients, and I'm starting to lose weight. I don't have the extra weight to lose. If I get sick... I'm not gonna be in top physical condition to fight it. I really want to live through this pandemic. I want to hold and hug my granddaughter again. I miss her so bad. *cry*

Well let's face it...most doctors are pretty shitty. I feel like unless they are a specialist, all they do is blame everything on your weight, stress, or sleep and they don't really investigate why you are sick. Then they throw a pill at you and tell you "good luck" and you just sort of stay in limbo unless you do a TON of your own research and basically treat yourself. Signed, another person who has had a string of shitty doctors and lesser-known health conditions that seem to puzzle the experts.

DH's work is on the way to my office. Yesterday there was a potluck for the office staff and they left all the leftovers. So he made me up a care package for lunch today and I stopped there on my way in to work to pick it up. My confession is that I lied to him about how the food is good. It's really not. I understand now why all the office ladies are overweight and don't look so healthy. Even the 'healthy' dishes are loaded with processed carbs. Veggie pizza? Yeah, it's canned dough with a block of cream cheese spread on it. Then it's dotted with little pieces of cut up veggies. That's not healthy.

Can I call it, or what! 4 weeks in, and plateau. Bam. Tomorrow I'm rededicating, and starting in on counting calories again. I've really been enjoying eating until I feel full, but I knew when I was on my 5th cup of veggie soup last night that I wasn't going to see a dip in the scale this week. Time to go back to multiple runs a day, or feeling hungry. That seems to be the only way for me to lose weight.
