I get those comments about my weight. The nurse at the Dr's office said she'd guess me a lot less than the scale shows. Must be muscle?

I have discovered that melatonin gives me severe diarrhea that causes me to lose weight, due to everything going right through me. I am now using it for that purpose rather than a sleep aid. Probably not my smartest move.

My first world complaint is that my body has a certain setpoint for my weight. *I* want it to be 135, *body* wants it to be 150. Meh!

My motivation to lose weight is shopping. We have awesome thrift stores around here with great clothes, but I told myself I can't have anything new until I lose 1 pant size. I REALLY need new jeans. Better start hustling! =)

Finally the scale move!! Up and down the same 1-2 lbs since July 1. On my weekly weigh-in on Tuesday, bam, down 3 lbs. Weird how my body holds onto the weight for about a month then loses it all in one week. Glad I started charting my weekly weigh ins on an app I found because now maybe I will learn to be patient.

I was on an antidepressant and it drastically reduced my appetite. I lost about 30 pounds with very little effort. One day at work I was surprised (or should I say ambushed) with a company wellness award. I received a plaque and accolades on our company electronic bulletin board. Their impression was that the weight loss was due to healthy living and exercise, but the truth was I was horribly unhealthy on that medication, both physically and mentally. I have gone off of it now and have gained all the weight back and then some. I'm sure I look like a failure to my co-workers but deep down I know that going off of that was the best thing I ever did for myself. (PSA: For those of you struggling with depression please don't NOT seek help because of my post. I picked the wrong A/D is all. Many of them do help people.)

Re: Selfies on Facebook - I had to unfollow one person because it seemed that every other post of hers was a selfie. She just some weight, so I get that that might be in part due to the neverending stream of selfies, but geez.....take a break! You were beautiful before the weight loss, and I haven't forgotten how you looked from the last selfie you posted of yourself an hour ago.

I went to my health risk assessment for work and the nurse was chatting with me about how she was getting a NutriBullet. I told her I'd heard good things and I was thinking of getting one myself for making smoothies and soups. She told me I shouldn't get one because it would make me lose too much weight (I'm at the low end of normal BMI). Um, I'm pretty sure it's what you put in the smoothie that makes you lose weight and not just using the NutriBullet. I can't believe some people are nurses with beliefs about nutrition like that. SMH.

I am the poster who can't keep up with the 'superwoman' who (better watch what I say here) um, leads a less healthy lifestyle than I do. I mentioned her weight in my second post just to have a clear reference to the first post. That's why, for anyone who was wondering. It wasn't to be mean or catty.
