I even have to remind my husband, albeit very seldom, that it's my body. It's not okay to slap my ass when you please. It's not okay to grab me and yank me any which way. No throwing fits when I don't want sex. That used to be a big one for us, but as we matured we were able to discuss how it negatively affected both of us. I'm lucky he is very aware of my feelings as a woman, but because of societal influence he still struggles with the things I feel are inappropriate or uncomfortable. For example, saying I'm lucky I'm pretty doesn't always sit well with me. It's like he has to be reprogrammed to my desired amount of respect. He also has to realize that I don't enjoy being touched the same way he does because men have always felt entitled to touch me in any way they wanted, even as a child.

Twice in the last two days I have been talking to 40something men on Match and they have told me they have infants! I'm 39 and have no desire to go down that road again, let alone with a child not my own. And what's with 40somethings having babies and being on the prowl already? Next!

I fill my basket up on Amazon with all my heart's desires. Sometimes I just go and look at it and....sigh. It kind of feels good in a weird way. I can't afford 90% of what's in it and I end up buying maybe one thing out of 50. But it's fun.

Reading fan fiction (smutty) has greatly improved my desire for sex ;) . I had no libido before.

Nobody needs to have kids if they don't want them. This seems so natural to me, yet I see quite a few of my friends struggling with this decision. "I don't reallly want to have kids but..." and then they torture themselves with all sorts of scenarios. "What if I can't find a spouse who agrees with my stance on being childfree?" "What if I regret it later?" "What if I end up old and alone?" Listen, if you don't want kids....DON'T have them. Life will work out OK. The worst thing you can do is have a child "just in case" your lack of desire is the "wrong" decision.

I was reading the confession from the lady whose DH wants her to get a better job and make more money. Sweetie, I have been there. My idiot DH wanted me to go back to school to be a pharmacist. I have zero desire to be a pharmacist. None. He wanted me to do it so I could make "big bucks by doling out refills at Walgreens". Moron. I just told him flat-out that I wasn't doing it. There is much more to life than making money, ok? Remember that :)

My current first world problem? I don't want to be fat anymore, or have a saggy butt.... But my desire to go to the gym is even less than my desire to look in the mirror and see a beautiful woman instead of a ball of lazy blubber.

Nope, soon to be ex-dh, we won't be friends down the road. Nope, I'm not bitter or still "carrying a torch" for you. You have shown me that you don't have the character of a person I would choose to have as a friend. You are not the genuine person I mistakenly believed you to be. Have a nice life, no hard feelings, but no desire to be friends. We (fortunately) had no kids together, really don't even have the same circle of friends - the ones we did hang out with together - you can keep. I don't see a reason why we'd keep in touch! Buh bye!

Today's smoothie: almond milk, water, cacao nibs, cocoa powder, lots of frozen spinach, frozen blue berries, half an avocado, a little agave. It is totally satisfying my desire for a chocolate shake! The avocado makes it REALLY rich.
