Ah, you didn't realize that was all the same person? Yes, multiple people have problem marriages on here, and even more than one has a husband with that same mental issue. But this OP has a certain voice/style that is specific to her. And while there may only be one person here who is 'talking shit' to an abused woman, there is more than one of us that want to support this OP in getting out of a bad situation before it becomes deadly. And some of us believe that we aren't doing her any favors by suggesting she stay in a situation that is getting progressively worse. Her DH is off his meds again, and is starting to have cycles of rage. In this case, the faster she gets out of there, the more likely she is to not end up in a hospital, or worse.

The OP with the dh with mental problems often is lazy and doesn't help OP around the house. But once or twice a year, she posts about him doing something abusive (like waving a gun at her, scaring the heck out of her with road rage, telling her he will divorce her if she doesn't get a better paying job, etc). Everyone tells her that is abusive, she says she is leaving once X happens. Then X happens, and she doesn't leave, usually saying everything is fine now. And then it starts all over again. I don't want to exaggerate, but I believe we are coming up on a decade worth of these posts. I really hope she gets out soon. If she doesn't leave now, when things are bad, she will likely stay for another cycle, and he is going to get another chance to really hurt her.

IDGAF. Seriously. Call me what ya want. I'm just gonna be over here dealing with all this bullshit regardless of what you think. And lets be honest- does anyone have the mental energy right now to care what random internet strangers think at this point? Anyone? I can barely get through a fucking shower without bursting into tears.

Maybe I'm getting the OPs mixed up, but I thought the OP with the dh with mental problems was not an abuser, just lazy and didn't help OP around the house. I'm new-ish here though so maybe I'm missing something!?

I think you're right. I work for a large hospital that sends an email every time someone retires. We get them almost everyday now. Nurses, techs, environmental workers, kitchen staff, you name it. People are jumping ship.

I think this is just a troll. I really f*cking hope so because this is (if it's true) seriously messed up. And a call to CPS needs to be made. Clearly this kid has mental issues that the parent is not dealing with appropriately.

This is a serious mental disorder, not a physical one. Perhaps it's time to get her some intensive inpatient therapy.

What logistics? I know two people who have recently moved, within the last month. Both of them still work fulltime. Movers are always available too. Please stop making excuses. Your dh treats you horribly, and he has mental issues that he won't take care of. And lying to you and pointing a gun at you. Plus I bet there's a ton more awful stuff he's done. Lots of apartments/rentals take pets. Get out before it's too late and he snaps on you.

SIL and BIL are such f*cking morons. Both of them are unemployed with major health issues and they decide right now is a great time to have their first kid. Since they don't have insurance other than Medicaid, she has been only getting minimal prenatal visits and she's diabetic and will probably need more than that. Plus they are both mentally ill and can't afford their meds right now so THAT'S awesome. I guess it's my practical nature but damn, I do not understand people sometimes.
