I renewed my license last week and all they asked about weight/height was if it was still the same, to which I answered 'yes.' Received my new license in the mail today and the weight is what was on my license 2 renewals ago, and about 40 lbs less than what my most recent one said which is correct. Now I'm a little upset that I only renewed for 4 years instead of 8, although hopefully 4 years from now it will be the weight it says.

Previous post reminded me...I never made fun of or shunned skinny females. Although I have an ex from 12 years ago that cheated on me, with another fat girl, who went around bad mouthing me and telling everyone I was so insecure about being fat that I constantly called skinny girls names without knowing them, when I did no such thing I wasn't even that fat, I had maybe 30lbs to lose. I was never insecure about my weight until I became a military wife 4 years ago. You want to talk about some crazy women, oh my. Some of them have nothing better to do than beat every woman down (including their friends) over any little thing. Hence why I have nothing to do with anything military other than going on base to the doctors.

I joined a fitness class at my gym and if it wasn't the only gym and I didn't need it I'd leave. The way they treat the bigger ladies is appalling. For example, on their FB page they post pictures of only 90% of the class. Not one person who is over weight is in them. They stick around after every class and ignore all the big women until they leave, take pictures then go out for drinks, dinners and movies. Before I got there some of the ostricized women tried posting their own pics but were quickly deleted by the rest of the class.

I went to the doctors for a physical and the nurse said, " Wow, you've really been packing on the pounds since your last visit! Your bmi is almost in the overweight range. Quit slacking on your exercise regimen." I lost about 150 pounds three years ago, and got down to 125. In the last year I've put on about 10 pounds of muscle. I finished an ironman this month, I'd hardly call that slacking. What gives the nurse the right to say that?

Any advice on how to handle a child who is a food hog and doesn't care that other people need to eat? My dss12 will take seconds, thirds and even fourths and he doesn't care that the younger kids would like more food and that dh needs to be able to take leftovers to work the following day. When we try to talk to him he tells us his mom lets him eat as much as he wants, well yeah she can afford to let him eat as much as he wants because she's on food stamps so she doesn't have to worry about how much she spends on food (we didn't tell dss this but we want to). We can't allow him to eat as much as he wants because we are on a food budget and other people need to eat too. He's not overweight at all, he's quite skinny actually but he doesn't give a shit that other people in our house need to eat. We've tried putting his amount on his plate and putting a little extra aside for him but he will go back for more and more and we don't have any more money in our budget to extend our grocery bill and we have the step kids half the time so it's not like we only have dss 2 days out of the week, if it was that way I wouldn't have a problem with this situation. Advice please?

Found out that my SIL, who has always been kind of cold towards me, legitimately doesn't like me because--get this--I'm thin and she is obese. WTH. I am always extremely nice to her and I have never once made a single comment to her about her weight, but she has given me a few backhanded compliments that were meant to hurt me. I feel bad for her because she is being so petty, but what can I do? I just feel awkward when I see her now.

I found out from my DH that my SIL really dislikes me because of the simple fact that I am thinner than she is. I honestly didn't think she was so petty, but apparently she is. I don't know how to react to the situation...she was always making little backhanded compliments before, but I really don't want to go back and do the same thing back to her. She's always telling me I should just gain weight and I'd look "better" and all sorts of other crap. Ugh. I wish I didn't have to deal with this.

i have a friend who's overweight and constantly complains about how no matter what she does she just can't lose weight. I can attest to the fact that she does work out hard and regularly and watches what she eats but she also LOVES beer. she drinks at least 3-4 each day. no big deal except whenever i've tried to tell her that maybe all the beer is hindering her progress but she immediately gets defensive and goes on about how she has german and irish roots and thus will always love her beer yada yada yada. it's just getting really tiresome hearing her hate on her body when the solution seems pretty simple: cut down on all the beer drinking. i don't understand the big deal about it anyway. Sure i'll have a beer every once in awhile but it doesn't taste that great to me. plus i hate the way it makes me feel on the rare occasions i'll drink more than two in a row, all bloated and gassy. yuck.

Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles are the bomb. Man. It does really suck that in order to maintain my weight I have to live on steamed steam. I'm so sick of salads I could die. :(

I worked over 100 hours a week with 2 jobs, while taking care of my newborn because my (now ex) H per-maturely quit his job and didn't help with the baby or with any cleaning. He actually makes more of a mess in 1 day than I did in a month. Thankfully both of my jobs were "under the table", I was pulling in a little over $1k a week, and was often able to bring my baby with me. One job was sitting in with elderly people, and they LOVED when I brought my DD with me. I worked both jobs 7 days a week, I worked from 6am -10pm with like an hours break around 6pm to get dinner and travel to the other job. It was hell, and I wish no one to have to do that. I was proud of myself for my home being spotless, because I would clean for 2 hours every single night after work. I slept 2-4 hours a night, gained a ton of weight though because I drank tons of soda to stay awake.
