My weight is creeping up but I haven't done anything to stop it. I can't exercise right now, so I need to make dietary changes. Considering Weight Watchers... Any pros or cons?

People always ask me questions about weed. I do smoke it, but I don't get why people think I'm an authority on its cultivation, different strains, prices, weights, etcetera. I don't sell it. Heck, I don't even buy it. People also assume that I'm rallying for its legalization. I don't really care. I also don't think it's for everybody and can have some harmful side effects, just like any other medicine. I do think it can be very beneficial for some, but I'm not crusading for it, but people assume that I am for some reason.

Here is why I'm a loner: Every time I let people in my life, family or making friends, the weight of all of their problems lie on my shoulders. Everyone always comes to me to solve their crap or to help them. I always end up doing it...but then the one time I don't help, they stop talking to me. Which baffles me because any time I need something, even if it's just someone to talk to...I'm always ignored. I have people in my life right now who I am fully responsible for, adults. My ex (kids father) cuz he is stationed overseas & have to deal with all his stuff, and one of my parents who moved in with me and refuses to do ANYTHING, even for themself. For instance, today, said parent pulls out a jar of peanut butter and there are ants on it. I don't use or buy peanutbutter, my parent does. Parent comes to tell me so that I will clean out the ants in the pantry. Uhm...are you dead? no? CLEAN IT YOURSELF! About 5 times a day parent comes up with a new 'crisis' for me to deal with.

I hear the "fast food is cheaper" argument all the time. I work in a weight loss clinic. I tell my clients to stop at grocery stores that have salad bars, or to pack lunches. They still can't seem to give up those drive throughs. They must put crack in those fountain sodas.

I have been trying to get confidence by into myself. It is hard when a relative constantly puts me down or makes me feel weird for not liking the same gaudy but expensive jewelry as her. I work out on my own at home and get bashed on by her for not going to the gym or putting up my weight loss before or after pictures online (why would I do that? People knew I used to be really overweight so what is the point of putting up bad pictures of myself compared to how I look now?). I have been finding my own style but I am sick of her comparing it to hers. I don't wear the things she does because I prefer my own look. Whenever I finally stick up for myself she just says that I am "threatened" by her. I am not, I am just sick and tired of being put down for not fitting her standards. I don't wear as much make up as her because I tend to get skin problems, I don't straighten my hair out because I have wavy hair that I like (when its tamed) and I don't wear expensive clothes because I am trying to save money and I like the outfits to look simple so I can dress it up or down with jewelry or scarves. I am the opposite of her but I am just sick of being put down when she tries to compare us.

Oh, for heavens' sake. No one was knocking the childfree. Can we stop with knee jerk responses. Forgoing a family SIMPLY because of some weight gain IS SHALLOW. Choosing not to have children for philosophical, ethical reasons or simply preference is NOT SHALLOW. She WANTED kids but her husband didn't want her to be 'out of shape' TWO entirely DIFFERENT scenarios. OK? Got it?Good.

I've been with my fiancé for 3 years. The only thing we've ever argued about is money and right now it's putting a strain on our "relationship". We have moved 3 times in 6 months for his job. We are now (hopefully) settled and he is constantly making me feel like shit because I haven't been able to find a job in the month and a half we've been here. I've applied for at least 50 jobs (including McDonalds and A dollar store) and only have had 2 interviews. He is constantly reminding me that I don't "pull my weight". I do all of his laundry and all of his dishes. I walk the dog several times a day. He hasn't had to do any of those things in months. I understand he wants to be comfortable in life but I'm so sick of *everything* being about money with him. I am TRYING MY HARDEST to find a job. I'm sick of having to be stressed over asking him to buy me razors or my $4 prescription. I want to leave him but he is my best friend and I know if I had a job it would be better. I don't know what to do. I'm scared. I need someone to tell me if I do leave him and go back to our hometown, it will be okay.

I've been doing so well lately...weight down 8 lbs. in 3 1/2 weeks, FBS hovering around 120. Then today I buy two Hostess cherry pies (the little ones) for DH....and I just ate one! Sometimes I think I'm my own worst enemy!

I've got a slew of medical problems and two of them manifest themselves physically as excessive weight gain and a blind eye. Growing up I never considered myself "pretty", and I was bullied constantly as a kid for being fat. I lost 30 lbs and have been slowing going down since my tumor was discovered and removed, and I was put on medication to regulate my hormones. People call me pretty even though I'm still not skinny (250lb) and I don't believe them. Its happened suddenly, too so I feel even more weirded out. Two guys at work flirt with me, and some of the other girls I know tell me "but you're so pretty"! No... are you guys looking at the right person?

I think it's incredibly sad that a husband would rather forgo having a family than see his wife gain some pregnancy weight. Does he plan to keep all his hair? Maintain his youthful six pack for the rest of his life? Very shallow. And I think anyone who accepts that as a reason for not having kids is also shallow.
