Nazis were fighting for the preservation of Christianity. Really???? This somehow excuses that Muslims are slaughtering certain groups as well as themselves? This is nothing but bigotry and anger.

It's actually in the Qur'an that Muslims must help their Christian and Jewish neighbors. If you read a book every so often instead of just opening your mouth without educating yourself, you'd look less stupid. I bet you embarrass yourself a lot IRL.

We have to love Christians. It's our Jewish duty. But they don't have to love us. I guess that's only the bad Christians though. But bad Christians keep killing good Jews and Christians. Guess that's okay and we will forgive them. What's 6 million innocent Jewish men, women, and children burned, suffocated and starved to death, including my grandmother's entire family? Oh yeah, my grandmother's infant baby sister? She was thrown in the air and used as target practice, while she was still alive, by people fighting for the preservation of Christianity. But you're right, those Muslims are horrible.

My inlaws bother me so much. They are Lutheran and they act like I'm not a good person because even though I'm a Christian, I'm not a Lutheran. They hate anyone who is Muslim, Buddhist, etc. because "how can they be good people if they don't believe in God?" and they don't believe Mormons are "real" Christians, even though I have several Mormon friends and was trying to convince them otherwise. Oh, and don't get me started on their views on abortion. No wonder my DH has become very jaded when it comes to religion...his family members are a bunch of judgmental haters.

Actually Americans DO make much more waste than anywhere - and if you know anything about garbage-strewn developing countries (beyond the surface) you'd know that there is significant recycling happening there - not in cute baskets next to your garbage can (there's often no/limited garbage collection at all!!), but by street children, lower castes, Christian minorities in Muslim countries, or other marginalized people. They sell, collect, repurpose, reuse the items, despite you seeing garbage by the side of the road - that is a different issue.

I'm not supporting Cruz. Don't like him. But I live in a place where many people blindly support him. They are conservative grass-roots rabid Christians and believe he will further that agenda.

I haven't told any of my family or friends that I consider myself to be an atheist. I don't want to make a big deal out of it. It's just something that I define myself as in concern with religion. Even still, I used to be terrified about them finding out. I grew up in the South, and you're expected to be a good Christian there. Admitting to people that you don't believe in God will get you looked down upon without fail.

Does anyone on here not celebrate Valentine's because they consider it a religious holiday? Or know anyone that considers valentines a "Christian" holiday? Sure, I know it's a saint, but have never heard of this viewpoint until recently. I consider it purely commercial, unlike Xmas.

I am having an affair with someone similar to me in many ways - race, income, etc/, but from a (non Christian) very religious background, whereas I was raised Catholic but now atheist. The sex, which is why we met in the first place, is awesome - best I've ever had. But the reality/conversations are more divisive. It might be enough to end the whole thing all together. What a shame....
