I had my car which books at $7100.00 listed on craigslist for $2000 for a quick sale. I can't believe the amount of damanding weirdos that contacted me. One guy wanted to trade his 5 year old TV for my car. Another told me he's paying me $300, needs my address to pick up immediately. Calls, text at 3 am. I pulled my ad last night. I'm just keeping it, will drive it until it dies than let it rust to dust before I ever list anything else on craigslist. I'm usually patient but it ran out fast. I really thought most people were sane but now I'm not to sure.

I'm late to the whole 50 shades of grey thing. I've never read the books and caught the last hour of the movie last night. I have questions. 1. Do they love each other? 2. Was he abused when he was younger? 3. Why did Anna say he could whip her with the belt then get mad at him and tell him not to touch her after?? Very confusing. Also, to me, Anna is ugly. She has a nice body, but her face is ugh to me. Just my opinion.

No, I am not lying. I also read 2 books a week and can fix toilets, change my own tires, reupholster a couch and lay carpet. Some of these things I would prefer not to do. I am a ballroom dancer, raised kids, and have written many books of popular fiction published by 4 publishers. My writing supported me for 25 years. I believe that there is much to do and see in this world, I love to learn, and no one has ever been able to quench my can-do spirit. Most people don't have this wide variety of accomplishments but I do and I won't downplay them just to pretend to be average. Because I am not. Oh, and I also play the piano. Bach mostly.

Went to the bookstore today. Spent $20. Got 9 books, a reuseable bag, a cute literary mug, a set of key caps and an Ace of Base CD. #score

I'm just happy right now. It's DD's B-day, she's 17 today. We have always let the kids pick dinner on their birthday and she wants pizza and salad from a local restaurant. So I don't have to cook! We got her a set of books for a gift that she will LOVE. And yesterday she was moved to first chair in band. And DS20 finally got his new job! It's just a damn good day.

I feel personally affected by Alan Rickman dying. I think it's because I really used the Harry Potter books to escape from the abuse as a kid. So this one hurts.

If humans are supposed to be very social creatures, then why do I feel so at peace when I am all alone? I would probably be content to never see anyone else ever again. I guess that makes me abnormal, but there have to be other people like me. I just like being alone with my pets and my crafts and my books.

Today on my AOL news feed: "11 Must Read Books By Muslim Authors." Must we constantly have (good kind wonderful peaceful terrific non-jihadist) Muslims crammed down our throats? I lived on the same block with Muslims. I don't care about their culture. They didn't care about mine. We were all good kind wonderful peaceful and terrific. But I'm not buying books about them and their wonderfulness. I doubt if they're buying books to better understand Christians and Buddhists and Jews either.

I recently visited Italy and fell so in love with the different foods I bought recipe books while I was there. Wish me luck-I am going to make a homemade carbonara.
