Dh was off today. He cooked dinner and cleaned the kitchen. He just said to me, "I cleaned the kitchen for you. " What? For me? We both work full time and he was off today. I told him that and also said, "Household chores are 50/50 buddy. If you wanna clean go ahead, but don't act like you're doing me any favors." Men are freaking idiots! They act like they've done some great deed if they clean, cook, watch their own children, etc.....

Please let's focus on the american employer that hires illegally and not the "illegal immigrant person". If employers wouldn't make it easy for them by hiring them, they wouldn't come. We need to crack down on illegal hiring practices. So if you need your kitchen remodeled, please be sure to vet your contractor and screen him as much as you possibly can and you'll be doing your part of not making it tempting for illegal workers. Also goes for your nannies and housekeepers and landscapers. And if you want to make America great, quit being greedy and hire LEGAL COMPANIES & WORKERS, pay their worth. We all want quality work for a low price, but hey, be an American and do your part.

I could totally live in a tiny house. Once my kids are grown I would to design a home with a large living room area/kitchen for entertaining and one little bedroom/bathroom. My parents have a large house now and while it's very nice, I think why keep it? We visit like twice a year.

You know that commercial where the lady comes home and her DH is cleaning a fish on the kitchen table like it's NBD? My DH does crap like that all the time and he wonders why I get annoyed by that.

When it gets to be meal time, I'll ask BF his input on what we should have. Every time, he says "I'm not hungry, I don't want any". So, I plan the meal and start cooking. Most of the way through, he'll come in, circling around the kitchen like a vulture (lol) trying to get me to change up the meal because suddenly he's "starving" and has a craving. I just asked 15mins ago and he wasn't hungry. If I wait until he's hungry to make food...he ends up snacking while we cook and doesn't eat much of what we cooked. I've learned that if he says he's not hungry, I should start cooking because he'll be hungry soon. He has 2 modes, "full" and "starving", there's no in between.. BTW, I see nothing wrong with it but it can be annoying when I'm cooking potatoes and suddenly he wants rice instead. Usually if I've started the potatoes, then we'll do rice the next day.

I burned some beans yesterday and my kitchen got all smoky. Now my whole house still stinks like burned beans. I even tried the vinegar trick. I wish I could open the windows for a good hour or so to get some ventilation in here.

I have a "do not disturb" setting on my phone that is in effect from 9pm to 8am every day so I don't get bothered by notifications. I have exceptions that can get through for emergencies (phone calls from my parents, dh & his parents). It's the greatest feature of my phone since I use my phone as an alarm clock. Otherwise I'd just leave it in the kitchen to avoid being bothered.

After Roommate puts her name on her take out food and even writes for me NOT to have any (how could she claim that I eat all of her food when I am barely home because of work? Oh, I get it...because I'm bigger than her and therefore eats all of her crap *her words not mine*) I finally got her back. I came home and made some citrus salmon, vegetable rice pilaf and roasted broccoli. She sends her grandkid in the kitchen to ask me to serve her a plate (roommate, not the kid). I get the take out food, warm it up and serve it on a plate. Bon Appetite, bitch. I am so happy I am moving out next week and let's see how much crap she can buy without my rent check. Maybe she could make her mooch of a daughter pay some bills and take care of her own kids as she hadn't in the last 6 months.

I wish they'd bring back mental institutions. People who now live on the streets could get the care they need. Our library would smell like books instead of B.O. I could walk my dogs in the park without getting angrily accosted for money. Businesses in our downtown would not have to chase bums out of their doorways before customers come in, and they wouldn't lose business because people don't want to shop there. The outdoor soup kitchen would go away and the area would be an artists' market again.

My husband got into the habit of leaving dirty dishes on the kitchen counter instead of rinsing them and putting them in the dishwasher. He did the same thing with pans that he cooked stuff in, wouldd just leave them on the stove ofull of crusty stuff and expect me to clean them up. I started just leaving them there, even though it's truly horrible and disgusting to have food and crested stuff sitting around for days. He finally got the hint, but seriously what is wrong with these people?
