Asking out of pure curiosity, why won't he get back on his meds? Sounds like he has some serious mental issues.

I'm the OP whose DH pointed a gun at me. He's laid off right now and I am positive that this will end our relationship for good. He's been irritable with me, snapping at me whenever I spend any money (I'm the only one earning any right now), sleeping all day and staying up all night and getting pissy when I tell him I need him to keep it down because I have to sleep because I have a JOB to go to in the morning. I knew this would be bad for his mental health and it is. He's refusing to go back on his meds and as soon as our state's safe at home order ends, so does this marriage.

You didn't deserve it. I hope his mental health doesn't get put through the ringer. It's a stressful time right now. Sounds like you know his warning signs. Keep us posted.

Last week I let a lot of things I have no control over get the best of me and was in bed for several days. I'm determined to make this a better week and take care of things I have control over like my mental, physical, and emotional health. I can be resilient in light of everything happening.

I'm having flashbacks. 6 years ago, my DH aimed a gun at me and lied to me about losing his job and how he was going to kill me to have one less mouth to feed. I was underemployed at the time and he thought that prank would make me "find a new job". Fast forward to now and I'm working full time and making decent money and he gets laid off from his job due to COVID-19. I just worry his mental health is going to decline again but if he EVER threatens me the way he did then, I'm out.

My bff and I aren’t talking because I was honest with her. She bought a 6 week old puppy from a backyard breeder. I was like no, that is not ok. That puppy is way too young to be away from her mother and litter mates. The puppy hadn’t been to a vet or had it’s first shots, nothing, and she paid 750$. I told her a. It’s illegal to buy a puppy that young (in our state), b. Puppies that are taken away from their litter mates too early can have behavioral issues because they don’t learn how to socialize c. They should not be eating dog food at that age, it is so detrimental to their long term digestive health. There are just so many problems with what she did and she didn’t get it. She just got mad at me and hung up on me and we haven’t talked in over a week. I’m just so ashamed of her.

DH and I are in a polyamorous relationship that has to stay on the down low (because our girlfriend could get fired if her job found out). Right before shelter in place started for our state, we went on separate trips. So when we got back from our trips, we were told to self isolate for 14 days. And we already hadn't seen each other for a week! And the day before that 2 week period ends, she gets a call from her niece, who is having a mental breakdown (she isn't exactly a mentally stable person under normal circumstances). So now the niece is staying with her. I'm starting to get really annoyed. I haven't seen my girlfriend for a friggin' month! We have never gone longer than two weeks before this. Enough already!

At my new job I'm remotely process client applications with documents like sources of income, docs to show loss of income due to current situation etc. Since the program was newly established, there has been really spotty training. It's mentally exhausting trying to understand diff. docs on limited training. Most clients are submitting incorrect documents which adds another layer. On top of that, I'm slowing easing getting comfortable working from home, but I'm not use to being on the computer all day long. Yet I feel a deep sense of urgency bc most of these families live paycheck to paycheck and are relying on his financial assistance. I really just don't want to mess up the calculations somehow award them less or more than what they should be receiving.

My mom is so fucking frustrating. If she doesnt get her way, she loses it and cries for days and yells that everyone hates her. I used to order her vitamins for her, but she would never pay me back. I did this for a year. Now I've refused and shes all up in arms because I wont do it. I told her I'd order with her cc, since she refuses to use internet except for fb to whine about all the perfect ppl, but all she heard is that I hate her and Im refusing to help. I cant deal with the mental and emotional manipulation anymore. I just cant. I will miss them when they're gone, Im sure, but I can't deal. I don't know how.

I'm asking because I'm having a tough time. I'm workaholic that's having hard time prioritizing my mental health since work feels all-consuming. I go to work with anxiety and come home with stress. I'm over I'm listening to a podcast on mental health at workplace and the guest asked such a great reflection question, "Did I live this life as well as it could be lived?"
