I have quietly gone on strike at home. No declarations, no yelling at anyone, I have just stopped doing things. The kitchen is a wreck from dinner and breakfast, normally I clean up and run the dishwasher over night. I've put laundry baskets in everyones room and will only be washing my clothes when my basket is full. I'm sick of working 8 hours a day at my day job, running errands, and then cleaning the house while there are four other able bodied people in my house who can get off their phones and wash a dish. Lets see what happens.

I noticed a huge gaping hole underneath our kitchen sink behind the pipes. The hole looks like a small fist size, so I emailed him right away. His response was that the hole won't effect the plumbing and they'll note that in our move-in papers that we didn't cause it. That's fine, but no mention to patch up that huge hole? WTF! I already feel like I do not like this company that manages our new apartment. I emailed a request to have it patched up - let's see what they say

I am so grossed out by myself right now. Decided to reorganize my kitchen and that included cabinets and pantry. Four fucking garbage bags full of expired (minimum 6 months) food. I can't believe how wasteful I've been. Food is now in shallow cabinets so I can actually see what I have. I used to do "retail therapy" and bought too much random shit, but then I switched to food. Now, I don't have a craving for shopping when sad/mad/happy/bored fortunately. So hopefully this won't happen again. And I finally stopped buying shit solely because it's on sale. On the plus Side, I also purged another bag full from my closet with ease.

A house cleaner would do me not good at all. I'm good at doing all the day to day stuff and my house is clean looking. I suck hard core at organizing and putting away laundry. My kitchen cabinets are a mess. My closets are all goddamn nightmares. I need an organizer.

Funny how dh says, "It only takes 10 minutes to clean the kitchen" yet won't get off his fat ass to clean anything. I hate him. Biding my time and saving money.....

I helped a friend clean out her hoarder mom's house after her mom died. It was HORRIBLE. Her mom used to buy endless amounts of crap from QVC, most of which was still in the box and unused. Piles and piles and piles of cookbooks, some still in the plastic wrapping. Piles and piles and piles of T-shirts, one whole bedroom as T-shirts her mom had collected over the years, many from Goodwill and many with stains and rips. Tons of binders filled with clipped recipes. Endless mason jars filled with trinkets, nails, paper clips, tacks. Piles and piles of old mail, bags of it, some never opened. Stacks of decaying magazines. Plastic containers from takeout, stacked in corners. Dog dishes and dog toys, even though the dog had long since passed away, there must have been 18 dog beds in different parts of the house. Pots and pans from yard sales, casserole dishes and kitchen implements, many in boxes taped shut for years. It was awful. Don't do this to your kids.

I pray for people who aren't the same religion as me-it doesn't hurt, even times when my faith is in some sort of doubt-I find a comfort in a prayer from others. In terms of when calamities happen, I do donate what money I do have, if I don't have much-then I try to donate some time such as volunteering or helping out in my church's kitchen. It's not much but it's the best I can do.

My dh is always so over the top with food. He'll bring me cereal, but it's a combo of 2-3 different cereals, with grapes and bananas. He'll be in the kitchen and ask if I want ice cream. I say, "Yes, please - chocolate peanut butter." He brings a bowl with a scoop of that, a scoop of whatever else is in there, topped with chocolate sauce. (He also puts cereal in his.) Tonight was "Casual Night" for dinner, meaning everyone just eats/makes what they want. A commercial came on for a breakfast restaurant and I said ,"Oooh, I want pancakes!" Dh said he'd make me some. But not just regular pancakes, oh no. Chocolate chip pancakes with chocolate sauce, caramel sauce and whipped cream. Jesus Christ. And five days ago he declared that he was going on a diet. Hasn't happened yet.

OMG, you guys...I have an invisible kitchen sink! DH always puts his dishes on the counter or leaves them on the table whenever I ask him to put them in the sink. I guess that means it's invisible. Funny, because I always see it when I go into the kitchen...
