I posted a few months back about rarely drinking, but getting blackout hammered when I do. I was afraid to even confess this here because the cops were investigating this. I was at a bar with DH and several friends. DH & I were talking to separate groups of friends. Apparently a guy was harassing me and jerked me by my arm. I turned around with a right hook and broke his nose. He didn't press charges, but the hospital followed up with a police request for video. I was given a heads-up and the video was *unable to be retrieved. Witnesses were shocked, but say they have my back because the guy jerked me really hard because I told him to piss off. I don't even have a glimmer of recollection of this. People were impressed, saying it looked like a scene from Rocky. I'm not so impressed with myself.

I never got to go to Prom or any other of the formal dances. My first boyfriend, when I was 16, was 18. We went to different schools and I met him at a friend's Sweet 16 party. He asked me to his Senior Prom and my mom bought me the most beautiful dress. Then one day I came home from school and my mom was furious. She'd searched my room and read my diary...and found out that we'd had sex. She called the police and tried to have him arrested for statutory. It was so terrible and traumatizing that I didn't date anyone again for the rest of high school.

I just got in a car accident. I was turning left onto a busy divided street from a driveway and I pulled out and didn't see a grey SUV without its lights on because it was raining. I stopped before she could T-bone me and thought I was back far enough, but she didn't stop at all and the corner of her SUV took the front license plate off my car. She stayed in her car the whole time....I got out and asked if she was ok. Did she ask if I was ok? NO. She said "I'm calling the police you bitch". WTF. The cop was at least nice. He said I can get my ticket reduced in court. But DH is pissed. And he should be, I guess. What a way to top off my already shitty Friday the 13th.

Yes of course all lives matter, and police lives matter too, but damn don't be such in denial and such a boot kisser that you don't believe police officers actually abuse their power! And not just in the streets as uniform cops, but back in station house! The chief can be corrupt as fuck. My friend is such a boot kisser I can't stand it anymore.

Helicopters just started flying around my house, so I got up and closed and locked all the windows, and then made sure the doors were locked, and my keys were in my pocket. DH asked what the heck I was doing, and I told him I was ready for whoever the police were chasing to try and break into our house. This was standard practice where I grew up - it happened every couple of months, and sometimes a neighbor was taken hostage. I just realized that this was probably not a normal childhood for most people! It is just something I have been trained to do, like turning off the TV during a lightening storm. I never even looked out to see if they are police helicopters - I just assumed they were. I forget how different my life is now!

My bil is a cop and just got engaged. His fiancee is sweet but every damn day she's posting stuff on FB about being a police officer's wife and how hard it is and blah blah blah. Bil isn't on fb but he recently found out about her posting that stuff and he was so embarrassed. Hopefully she calms her tits after a while. It's just a bit...sanctimonious.

Oh, no. Man in nearby town picked fight with his girlfriend and bit off the tip of her finger and swallowed it. News report says police have not yet been able to retrieve the finger for evidence.

My supervisor is out of the office seven days out of thirty. He wants me to take on more of the few things he does. I am working my ass off as it is. Now he wants me to take over Facebook duties which means I have to link my personal Facebook to the county government. No way. I have nothing to hide but I have been stalked, have police records to prove it . I have no pictures of me online. I don't want to make myself public.

A small suburban community outside of city limits is about to be annexed to the city where I live. These people work in the city, drive in the city, shop, go to the doctor, use the hospitals, fire departments, police, etc. By being annexed they will be included in our city's recycling program, which they do not have at all right now, but they don't want to pay the taxes. They're all crying about it but boo-hoo. Y'all already use everything the city has to offer, the least you could do is pay the freaking taxes.

My dd posted this picture/saying on facebbok to me that said something like: "My mom gets on my last nerve, but she's without a doubt the best human being I know. Such an understanding, caring, and strong woman." It really blew me away because 1. She's not the lovey dovey, show your feelings kinda girl. 2. I've called the police on her in the past a couple of times when she was drunk and unruly. 3. We haven't always had the best relationship. I'm kinda proud she realizes that I did/do the things I do out of love for her. She's 25.
