One of my guides is an older woman, with salt and pepper hair, and bright blue eyes. I've been having a hell of a time lately; mostly struggling with finding a part time job that pays well. Anyway, I had a dream about my guide; she was sitting across from me at a table, and she told me to open my heart and everything I want will come to me. Sounds great, Mable, but what am I supposed to do with that advice? Meditate on my heart chakra? Be patient and focus on love and junk? I'm glad I'm able to communicate with her, but damn. Cool it with the cryptic messages and just be direct. Why can't they ever just say, "Calm your tits, you'll find a good job in 4 months." I can work with that, lol.

Ugh, "hot men" do very little for me. The typically "hot guy" with washboard abs and the perfect hair and chiseled features? Why does everyone assume you can keep serving up the same slice of beefcake to all women and we'll all swoon? I've always been attracted to comedians because humor and intelligence are sexy AF. I'd date Patton Oswald in a heartbeat. You can keep your Bradley du Jour.

Lol, SD doesn't live near us. She and DH were Facetiming and I heard this from the other room. She is LITERALLY the most dramatic person I know - she also "literally had a heart attack" when her DD fell off a slide. God forbid one of her kids gets a cold - constant frantic updates from home and Urgent Care and fervent requests for prayers. She's a nurse FFS.

Mine is Eddie Vedder. I've been tossing around the idea of Bradley Cooper instead, but nah. *sigh* Eddie's had my heart since the early 90's. And DH's is Fergie. He loves him some Fergie.

I'm the OP that is having a really hard time letting go of her ex and had texted him recently. I'm a regular confessor from Truu, but remain anonymous because I'm ashamed by how long it's taken me to grieve. No, I have not written any of your scathing posts to play devil's advocate. I'm currently in treatment for major depression and already going through enough shit, thank you very much. I've had to stay away from this channel because of all the vitriol. Honestly, I've never felt so badly about something I thought I could confess to in a "safe" place as it has been for me. I'm saddened that people piled on and attacked me so quickly. You really don't know what person is going through unless you're in their shoes. Thanks from the bottom of my heart, to you OP below for sending me some gentle, compassion during this very difficult time. I'm crying because there is actually someone out there standing up for me and extending kindness. I don't know who you are, but I'm grateful for you.

No one is bashing her. People, myself included, have been gently encouraging her for months to stop bothering this guy, for her sake. The other OP was right, though; if this were a man harassing (which is what it boils down to) a woman, we'd jump down his throat for being a stalker. This has been going on, if my memory is correct, for almost a year. It's time she stopped harassing this poor guy. He obviously is bothered by her harassment, seeing as how he blocked her. I've also been stalked and harassed by an ex. Do you know what it feels like to be on a date with someone new and your crazy ex keeps blowing up your phone? Kinda makes it hard to move on, which is the motive behind the behavior; to keep your ex mentally shackled to you. Being depressed and brokenhearted doesn't make it okay. I agree that she needs therapy, but she has to make that choice.

They don't have to worry about getting fired because of too many absences. The rest of us who don't have medical issues can if we have too many call-ins (sick, famly emergency, car trouble). In other words staff who come to work 95% of the time can get fired before those only show up 50% of the time. One lady who has IBS called in the last 3 Fridays because of it. Another has heart issues and calls in at least once every other week since winter began. You can't depend on them being there.

Seriously down with following local sports team. It's heartbreaking loss after loss. Ugh, why am I so invested? I need to do something better with my time.

Reminds me of a story that happened here about a year ago that was on the news. Guy has a heart attack and collapses. Bystanders call 911. Guy is rushed to hospital and luckily survives. He gets a $200,000 hospital bill. He has insurance, but the hospital they took him to, you know the closest one since he was dying and all, was out of network. And seeing as he was unconscious, he couldn't really tell them to take him somewhere else and didn't really have time to look up which hospitals were in his insurance network anyway. 'Merica!

Pet peeve of mine: People touching me at the store when they want to get something on a shelf near me. Today I was picking something up off a shelf and a lady came up next to me, put her hand on my back and said "Hi Sweetheart, I'm just going to sneak in here and grab something". Like, fine, you can grab something on the shelf...just please do not touch me. I have a weird touch-me-not thing with strangers. I'm probably the only one who has it, but whatever.
