I was never taught false science. I went to school in the south. Neither my children nor I ever were taught that black people were evolutionarily closer to monkeys. Even my southern grandmother never learned that, way long ago. Is that something northerners learned? How about out west?

Guess how I lost the weight, friend? It's called diet and exercise. My friend will lose 20-30 lbs on Atkins, South Beach, Jenny Craig, diet pills, very low calorie, etc etc, you name it she's tried it. Then she gets all bitchy when the weight eventually comes back because she can't stick to these unrealistic diets. Meanwhile bitching that I'm "so lucky" and I must have a fast metabolism. SMH. She doesnt have the patience or willpower to realize this is a permanent lifestyle change, not a quick fix. Quit your bitchin!! I've volunteered to exercise together, show her my food logs, and any other support but sheesh I'm over it. Keep pissing your money away on diet pills on Amazon and let me know how that works for ya.

So Forbes just published it's list of top colleges in the US. I was absolutely shocked by how few Southern schools made the list. OK, just kidding. Actually not shocked at all.

Mmmm my mil is screaming about the confederate flag, and she was the #1 teacher in her entire state. In fact, the majority of my husband's family are highly educated, and they're up in arms as well. Southern Pride, y'all.

I too am mourning the 9 people murdered, I haven't dishonored them by saying I wish more people would mourn the loss instead of fight for a flag to be flown. I don't live in South Carolina, I don't see the fellowship of praying and grieving together on tv or the internet, I'm glad that is happening, but we should all mourn together as a nation and I haven't been seeing that.
