I feel like I have no goals, hobbies or talent. I do work and I have a family, but I feel plain and sad. Dh is pretty useless and he's an alcoholic. I wish to win money, take ds and my dogs far away.

My poor old dogs. They're both turning 14 soon, one in April and the other in May. They're showing their ages all of a sudden. The mini schnauzer is having hind leg/hip problems and can't stand up sometimes, but if you try to help him up he bites. Hard. So I keep long stretchy scarves laying around and use those as a sling to pull him up. The chi mix is coughing (probably heart failure) and can't get up in the bed and will sit and screech to pick her up. Then she can't jump down so she sits and screeches to be put down. She's showing signs of doggie dementia too. She gets confused and howls. Poor girl. We have to sit and hold her until she calms down. I'm running an old doggie home. They get glucosamine in their water, vitamin chewies, geriatric dog food. I never put away my carpet cleaner because they're having problems getting to the door in time to go out. I'm doing scheduled bathroom breaks.

He's a lab, but mixed with something else that makes his hair longer and sheds like crazy in the summer. He's an indoor dog, both of my dogs are. There are times they're put outside for longer periods (i.e. when I vacuum), but there are several spots to lay in the shade, including covered shelters. I hate people who have dogs and leave them outside 24/7. My neighbors behind me have a rottie and that poor dog is never let inside the house, but they have a covered deck so he at least has some shelter.

We have an 8 year old Pitbull. Sweetest guy ever. I think he had a seizure last night. :( Dh said no to the vet, we'll just wait and see how he does. He went to sleep and slept all night and seemed fine this morning. We had to put our first Pitbull down in 2008. He was 12 and had a big tumor on his side. The vet said they didn't know if he'd make it through the surgery. :( I hope our pup will be ok. He's so gentle and our 2 little dogs and 1 cat love him to death.

My in-laws are here and driving me nuts. I love them, I just hate their dogs. I have a dog. But theirs are a mess. They beg for food (and my in-laws think it's funny). And OMG, they SMELL! One never stops barking and tracks water ALL over the house when she drinks. The other is 15 and should have been put to sleep a year ago. She's incontinent, can barely walk, needs help getting up, etc. And they're big dogs, so they seem to just be everywhere. Just two more days.

Dh is an engineer 125k a year. I just finished nursing school and will probably start at 60-70k. 1500sq ft house, 1200$ mortgage not including all utilities. Way upper Midwest. He drives a Lexus crossover. I have a Honda Civic. One child. 2 dogs. 2 zebra finches. We live paycheck to paycheck. We've been paying for my school out of pocket and I only work part-time. He paid off his student loans last year. We also never budget and we both max our 401ks.

Bf keeps saying my dog is violent. Apparently play bouncing and barking at you when you rough house with him equals violent. No bites not even play biting. Barking is violent I guess. He tried telling me my male is going to attack my female dog some day. They cuddle, play, follow each other every where, sleep together, go outside together. My dogs like each other. I trust my male completely the female is sweet to me but I wouldn't trust her completely with others. I think he just wants me to get rid of my dog. BF will be gone before my dog. He keeps talking crap about my dog, it will be soon. Either he knows zero about animals or is a dumb ass!

I lost my dog earlier this year. My other one is probably not going to live much longer. I hate that so many dogs do not have good lives. All I did was see the trailer to the movie "A Dog's Purpose" and it made me cry. I read the plot of the book and cried even more. I hope no one asks me to go see it. I can't handle it.

My SIL found an abandoned puppy at a gas station and took him home. Her DH wants them to keep it but they already have 3 dogs. I am really getting puppy fever now! I know DH will say no, but I think it would be good for my dog to have a puppy sibling. I know, it's probably not realistic, but I can dream I guess.

I don't know about other people, but I accept your apology. Behaving badly isn't reserved for little kids only. I guess if you feel like picking a fight, maybe next time go for a more innocent topic, like should pineapple be on pizza or are cats better than dogs, lol. I know what it's like, going from life being bad to good and feeling conflicted because you're waiting for the shoe to drop. It's a shitty, anxious feeling. I'm glad you're life is good. Try to stay positive, op. I'm rooting for you :)
