Why do people have so many problem with kids in restaurants? I never did with my DD. Then I never let her order soda and fries for breakfast.

I'm embarrassed to admit this. Sometimes when I see two women out with kids (stores, restaurants, etc), I wonder if they're lesbians.

Got through a restaurant lunch without a single carb. Boo-Yah! Started last Sunday and I'm already down five pounds. And these pounds have been seriously pissing me off for over a month now. Now to tackle the five that have been pissing me off since January. I miss bread but I don't really miss anything else. DH is trying this too, and he's already lost eight pounds. He's concerned about long-term success because he LOVES bread. I tried making those oopsie rolls and they might work to hold sandwiches together but they don't taste like bread at all. Next thing I try will be soul bread. We'll see how that goes!

My 25 year old daughter has never been a good driver to me. She drives kinda fast and can't stay off her phone! She's driving us home from the restaurant and I tell her to get off her phone. She kinda laughs and says, "Yeah ok mom. Worry about yourself!" I kinda freaked and yelled, "I am worried about myself! I don't want to die!" Kinda forget my mom was in the back. She just got here and is visiting. She yells, "Isn't dysfunction and family fun?" Jeez! 3 crazies in a car. Thank goodness my sister wasn't there. :)

What would you do: DS6 wants to go to Dave & Busters (arcade restaurant) for his birthday. I usually have family over for a party at our house. Should I A. Invite everyone to restaurant, buy lunch ($200) and if they want to stick around for games they can pay for those themselves or B. Take DS to restaurant as family of 4 ($50) and then host gathering at my house I have to cook/clean/buy food/drinks for probably $100. Thoughts? Is it lame to tell people to buy their own games? (Most are adults, there's one niece old enough to play bedsides my own kids)

Had a nice long lunch yesterday with 3 of my girlfriends/coworkers. We went to a Mexican restaurant down the road and each had a cocktail! We're thinking of doing this once a month.

DD who was to repay our loan with her taxes told me their return is being 'reviewed.' Instead of letting her think we believed her lie, I started asking her questions. She got flustered and couldn't come up with answers, then said she'll have the loan paid off next week. Voila! She had no idea that my friend, who owns a kind of upscale restaurant, told me that our daughter, husband, and family were sweet. Yeah, they had a $320 dinner (my friend didn't tell me what their bill was; only what everyone ordered). How disappointing to be lied to by your own kid!

I never binged & purged at home. I would buy food from a restaurant. Usually a couple similar ones. Now I just avoid those restaurants. If I have to visit one of them (with family/friends who don't know), I order something healthy and small.

I haven't binged and purged in months. Ate at a restaurant that always triggers my bulimia. Ate half my food and threw it out. Still purged. I have to remember that some places will always be triggers. And I can't be cocky, you are never 100% recovered.

DH texts me that DS6 was sick with an upset stomach. I was out with friends and I called to see what was going on. DS was at his favorite restaurant and wouldn't eat his hamburger or ice cream. Then DH says they had donuts and chocolate milk and hour before at an outing. Really DH? Can you hear yourself? If I ate that shit, there is no way I'd want dinner an hour later. Needless to say I let DH deal with the situation he created.
