I made up my mind today. I'm leaving him. He went out and bought a UTV eithout even saying anything. I only found out because he was bragging to somebody else, forgot I was there. I can be broke alone. I'm fed up with these surprises that cost thousands of dollars. I save it and he blows it so it's for the best I save my sanity and leave him. It's not like he's sweet, kind, affectionate or thoughtful. So since I'm just a roommate that pays for everything it's time to ditch the dead weight. He'll flip out but I'm done.

In a group text, I friend asked if I wanted to go on a road trip, but I said no since I had two trips coming up. She asked about my trips so I told her about my marathon and conference. No response from either of them. However, she did send a selfie of herself with a haircut, losing weight, and mention of quitting a bad job. I feel that’s kinda rude.

When did body positivity morph into statements lke "It's okay to be so fat it disables you," and "asking for a smaller slice of cake is fatphobic"? This has turned into a movement about loving your body whether you are overweight or not, from outrageous science denial, claims that everyone who wants to be healthy is a Nazi, and putting an overweight kid on a diet is as bad as sexual abuse? And if these people are genuinely "trolling", then they're trolling to hundreds of thousands of fans who hang on their every word. This is damaging. We call out anti-vaxxers, we call out flat earthers, but if we call out these people we get called bullies. It's okay to be fat, and it's okay to love yourself at any size. I don't think getting so fat you become disabled can really be called self love though. The same issue with anorexics caused pro-ana sites to be lambasted and shut down, whereas this shit is openly celebrated.

I'm 77 and still turn heads. Size 8 jeans, 124 pounds. I work at it. Stay active and don't let weight gain creep up on you. Moisturizer. Botox and dermal fillers if you can afford it - I spend about $400 a year on that but buy the cheapest cosmetics I can, always at Walmart or dollar store. Not bragging but with commitment it is possible to look good for a long time.

There's nothing wrong with caring about yourself. I don't think it's vain at all. I'm the same way, and I'm 50. I'm about 15lbs over my usual weight and I HATE it. I WAS 30lbs over (yay depression) but I set a goal to get back to my normal weight. A coworker really tore me down when I said I was wearing long sleeves in the summer because I didn't like the way my arms looked at the time :(

I swear, why do I even care that much about my weight anymore? I kind of wish I could be one of those older women who just eats whatever they want and doesn't care much about what they look like. I'm almost 40 and I still care about how my butt looks in jeans. It makes me feel so vain, but I take a lot of pride in taking care of my body I guess.

I'm a capricorn. Dh is a leo. I don't normally give much weight to horoscopes, but so help me, if his leo ass doesn't calm the hell down, I'm building him his own wing of the house. He'd probably die from lack of attention.

I don’t know what is up with my body. Maybe it is a perimenopause thing? About a month ago, I suddenly gained 5 pounds. I figured I was bloating, and it would go away, but it didn’t. After several weeks, I decided it might be actual weight gain, and it must not have been as sudden as I had thought. So I started focusing on my calories, weighing myself ever couple of days. The weight has started to slowly come down. And then, this morning I weighed myself, and I am down 3 pounds from a few days ago. And yup, my stomach looks great. What the heck, was that a month long bloat?!

Yes it is my business if a person chooses to use their freedoms to get overweight, smoke, use drugs, become alcoholic, not take care of health, etc. I am a member of the society that has to take care of those folk who thru their own folly become sick. It's my tax dollars that provide Medicare, Medicaid, other health programs, fund the research to cure them (hopeless sometimes). I'd rather my taxes be spent on other things than people who are determined to become a burden to all of us.

There are non negotiables in relationships for me. Not being able to have normal sex is a dealbreaker. Sex is an important part of a relationship. I was dating a man who very over weight to the point it made sex very difficult. He promised to lose weight..he then GAINED weight and sex became impossible. I called the wedding off.
