In the last month my primary care doc left her practice, my daughter's primary car doc left her practice, my ob/gyn stopped taking my insurance, and my daughter's specialist's - the only one in our city - next appointment is 2 months from now. I had labs done right before my primary doc left. No one has reviewed them. It's been months. My daughter's primary doc was supposed to call in labs but never did, and now she's gone. No idea if my labs are OK (they were done for a reason). Daughter is having issues related to a medical condition. We need to see someone to determine the cause, if medication changes are needed, etc. But no labs were done, her doctor left, and her specialist can't see her for months. Yay, American healthcare system.

Good for you? I don't know what your point is. Vaccines have been 'forced' for EVER. You have to have them to go to public school. Health care workers have to have them. You need them to travel to certain areas. The science behind how vaccines work is valid and proven. (Know anyone who's had polio? Me either, because vaccines work..) The reason you're so freaked out about this vaccine is because the media machines and the political powers that be made you that way. Do what you want, though, man, this is America. I literally just responded to a post that seemed totally fine with a bunch of brown people dying as long as the US saves some money and no more of their people die, and this is the response? Is #notallamericans a thing yet, because that's exactly what you just said, and it sounds just as ridiculous as when men do the 'not all men' thing.

First off, we KNOW we're not going to see any money. Come on, when have we (citizens) ever? Secondly, please don't lump all Americans together if you can manage that. I know it's a tall order, but we're not all like that. I get why citizens of other countries might have that mentality but it's fallacious. Some of us are still sane.

Then, Biden ignores everybody including all his military advisors advice, and lets an entire country collapse. Women and children will be raped and murdered. Journalists and aid workers and doctors will get their heads hacked off. But who cares as long as you get your money back right? Well, I've got some news for you. You won't be seeing that money. It'll be getting pissed away between rich guys and politicians as always. And a terrorist organisation taking over *another* country that hates you doesn't exactly sound like it's going to lead to a peaceful, war and terror-attack free future.

I'm an American, so I can relate. We're having a worker shortage too, a lot in the food industry. Gee, where are all those illegal immigrants you keep saying are taking our jobs? It's almost like they never actually were, and you're just racist assholes.

I'm starting to plan my retirement....I want to either get a big RV and become a snowbird and migrate down to New Mexico or Arizona or else move to a retirement community in El Salvador or Costa Rica. I dunno. I just want out of the rat race that is corporate America. DH and I are already going to start working PT when we're 50 and getting jobs where we work just enough hours to get benefits and do that to have at least some more free time. We have plenty in retirement; it's just the stupid healthcare aspect we have to worry about.

I'm pretty pissed off about this whole bank 1099 thing Biden has come up with. So every bank account of every single American (individuals, not corporations) is going to have its aggregate inflow and outflow of cash reported to the IRS. Tens of thousands of new agents will be hired to do more audits. If you're a gig worker and you only report what's been issued on a 1099 from a job- you better hope you didn't deposit that money you got in cash, or from a one-off gig that was less than $600 and didn't trigger a 1099 for you. Because if it hit your bank account, big brother is gonna know about it, 1099 or not. This is part of the families first act but you won't read this part in the White House press release. Nothing like going after the little guys. And FTR- I'm a democrat and think *rump is human garbage.

My and my partner are constantly arguing about how to pronounce stuff...we're both British, but he's older and uses a lot of pronunciation which seems to be going by the wayside. I always said "basil" the American way and it drives him up the wall, it's pretty funny. Although when I hear David Attenborough pronounce "sloth" it makes me want to start talking like a 90 year old English gent.

Americans correcting people's grammar and pronunciation...bit like a British person accusing another nationality of being colonisers, or Canadians accusing another nation's people of being "too nice." #justajokedontkillme
