Teacher Life pt 1- Spent four hours Saturday designing a badly needed professional development for my colleagues about Special Education, at my Admin's request. Admin promised me 90 minutes. Looked at the weekly schedule and I am sharing the time with Counseling Services. He did not inform me. Just changed the schedule. I planned 90 minutes of information and activities, and all of it is important. Just shows that when push comes to shove, special education students and students with social/emotional challenges get the short end of the stick. What did he plan for three afternoons this week instead of dedicating one afternoon each for Special Education and Counseling Services? Three days of "Professional Learning Community Planning Time" WITH NO PLAN FOR HOW SPECIAL EDUCATION OR COUNSELING IS INTEGRATED INTO THAT.

Well, here we go. We had four covid cases last week. FOUR. We now have seventy. And counting. Our ICU is full. Our walk-in clinics are slammed with patients needing covid testing again. I have an interview for an admin job next week, but there's a chance they won't let me transfer because we're short staffed. Also, fwiw, the vast majority of these cases are patients who refused the vaccine, who now want the vaccine, like it's some magical cure. I'm out. I'm not doing this again.

I did it! I finally got OSHA to investigate our building! I work in an old factory that was converted into a huge office space for hospital administrative duties. Everything is covered in fine, black dust that looks like fibers. We're constantly wiping our desks down. Everyone in the building has developed breathing problems. After complaining two other times, I finally sent OSHA some really good photos and I received notice that they're going to formally investigate. Maybe I'll actually be able to breathe at my desk without coughing all day.

Not the OP, but curious as to why the Admin thinks this post is insincere? It's no more BS than any of the other outrageous things I've read on here.

Shortly before my son died early this year, I got a psychic message from spirit saying "something terrible is about to happen." That was all. No clue about what it might be. This made me so anxious and I tried to understand but couldn't. When it happened I immediately knew what the message had been about. If spirit can give the message why can't they tell you enough so that you can prevent bad things from happening. His death might have been prevented if I'd known more. Sorry, Admin. But anyone who refuses to wear a mask or stay home or has parties and gatherings, even when all of that is mandated, is deliberately trying to hurt you.

Here is what I can't stand about the Republicans in my life right now: They claim they don't think it's "fair" that they get treated poorly for voting for Trump and that we need to be nice to each other regardless of who we voted for, etc. That works both ways my friends....if you post things about my being a lib-tard and how Hillary should have been in jail, etc. and you support the orange buffoon that's in office right now, sorry, but I'm not going to be super nice to you. I've unfriended people over this presidency and I can't say the same about any other administration. Trump is pure evil.
